i did read that a good guard would be going to Leb Val.  Sixer's won last night  :D!

Kate: can you say more about this "good guard" going to LVC?

kate

Hello Warren!  She's actually a 6 foot forward graduating from Bangor Area High School named Sarah Colton.  i really hope i haven't jinxed her arrival on campus by announcing this, but it was in the Express Times, March 25th edition.  Sorry, i do not have a web link.  She was on a team of the year for girl's b'ball, of course.  We've seen her play on our local TV station, & she was the heart & soul of that squad.  We will be in Annville i believe for our opening tourney.  We're looking forward to the 09-10 season!

Warren,
There's still plenty of time for her to change her mind and head over to TCNJ! ;D

Hope all is well up in your neck of the woods. I'll be heading back to Jersey for my God Daughter's wedding an three weeks – her sister is the one that went to LVC.

Thanks, Kate. The Valley ladies can certainly use a six-footer. Of guards, we have plenty.

SAD sport's weekend - Sixers, Phillies, Rutger's, Pittsburgh, ALL lost.  It's pathetic when there's virtually no one left to root for in the Women's NCAA's, plus i was NEVER a Nova fan, so hurry up regular baseball season next weekend!  Forgot to mention, my Aggies didn't have such a great weekend either.  At least the women salvaged one softball game.  It was a good weekend to sit plopped in front of the TV  ;D

I miss TC HOOPS. ::)  There is no one left to smite.

Congratulations   to DeSale's Senior, LeighAnn Burke, named to the 2008-09 First Team of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC's) D3 South, and to DeSale's Senior guard, Kim Rarick, AND Del Val's very own Junior guard, Kim Vennera, both named to the Second Team.

Sure hope that everyone on the site is having a beautiful & happy Easter/Passover, and also that they're planning to visit their favorite D3 institution this month & next for everything from A-Day at DVC to graduations everywhere!

A few random thoughts here, we will Certainly miss the voice of Harry Kalas announcing the Phillie's games.  On another subject, i thoroughly enjoyed Matt Levy's blog all school year long.  Please keep it up, Matt.  If anyone has any news on recruits who will be hitting the Aggie campus in August, PLEASE post.  Looking forward to seeing the 09-10 b'ball schedule.  Hopefully everyone at this site will post all summer - it sure makes the time go faster.

Hey Kate- how ya doin'? Go Aggies, Go Marywood. Is it November yet? How come they don't have a WRESTLING forum on here?? Perhaps you can enlighten the forum management about the oldest sport- I know you've got some clout with these folks.

Pat Coleman

There hasn't been a lot of call for it -- even the forum on D3wrestle.com is pretty quiet.

Welcome Pitbulljim!!!  A while back i stated on this site that i wasn't too happy with the MAC for dropping wrestling, especially since it's a sport in which Del Val excels.  Couldn't be happier with your choice of schools, however.  It wouldn't surprise me in the least if some day in the near future that Marywood would be joining the MAC.  After all, they  do have Marielle Thorsen & a host of other great players!  Hopefully soon you'll get to know Del Val's stars ( they'd better all be returning  ;))  Glad to have a new poster!!!

i will certainly miss Patrick Abegg's listings of schedules up.  Condolences to his family.

How is everything down in Doylestown at my favorite D3 College in the world???  Matt, your Blog is a day late. i really look forward to reading it each Tuesday.  Any word on people actually coming.  On A-Day
we ran into Stephanie Kraemer & Jackie Shunkwiler who told us that there were several players looking at the program - that's a great sign!  i don't normally go into the Intelligencer, so any info would certainly be very much appreciated.  i don't believe i mentioned this on here before, but wasn't it tremendous when George Fox took all the honors this past season?  For once, it wasn't one of the "perennial power houses"!

IMHO, DVC Sport's Information Director, Matt Levy, made the PERFECT choice for female athlete of the year from the Junior class, Aggie guard, Kim Vennera!  Boy, do i miss all you guys!  Thought we might make the ECAC baseball game this afternoon, but it's a gorgeous day & yard work summons  :(  Everyone should go into the Aggie website & check out Matt's selections for athletes of the year from Frosh to Senior.  Just get into the sport's page & hit the Blog.  Great job all season, Matt!  Go Kim & Company in the 09-10 season!!!
