Honestly do not know the best place to post this, but GREAT luck to Messiah College going for the D3 Softball Championship - GO MAC!!!

I feel that I need to ask this question as I am an Eastern University alum. This ia a great conference and I understand that. However, Eastern University has finished last, even in the PAC, and has fallen along way from being good. In fact, ever since the Coach Huffman era when he took Eastern to back -to -back PAC Final Fours, a Southern Division Championship, a number 2 seed, 3 victories over Cabrini's top teams (aruguably), and made them more respectable than they have ever been? Some Athletic Administration, who shall remain nameless, made a bad call with that whole deal and the program has not been the same since! It's really to bad for the institution, players, and Eastern community alike. No disrespect to the current players or their coaches, but facts and numbers tell the truth. Sorry, I'm just frustrated alumni and I have personnaly heard from othe coaches around the old PAC that say the same thing about Coach Huffman and Eastern!

What was the question that you needed to ask?
The person who says something can't be done shouldn't stand in the way of the one who's doing it.

Sorry! I guess I'm more frustrated with the Eastern situation than I realized; leaving out the question part. I just wanted to know when that institution will make a serious effort in turning that program around? Almost every sport across the board at Eastern is stronger!

Good evening, Old Pro.  First, thank you for acknowledging that the MAC is a good conference (i really think so, too).  Next, please glance at the Manhattanville record from the 07-08 first year in the MAC record of 4-8; this past season they've gone to the league play-offs with a 12-4 record.  This group of teams seem to bring out the true competitive aspect of this sport.  Also, YOU have Bekah Roland who is really an outstanding player - she WILL make everyone around her better.  i hope that everybody at the site has a wonderful & meaningful Memorial Day weekend!

Congratulations to Del Val Freshman, Meghan Donovan, who tied for 10th place in the High Jump at the NCAA D3 Track & Field Women's Championships!  Way to Go, Meghan!  She tied with Senior, Kelsey Buffenmyer from former MAC member, Juniata.

Bad night in sports - Phillies lost & even worse, Lakers won  >:(

Best luck to Coach Candice Brown as she takes over the Vassar helm.  Manhattanville will miss her - hopefully they'll get a new great, enthusiastic coach with as much leadership quality as she has.

I wondered where Candice was off to! Saw the Mville job posting but couldn't find anything about her departure. I'm happy to see her succeed; she was a heck of a ballplayer at Marymount! Probably the smoothest woman I've ever seen play the game.

Every morning i check D3 Hoops (among other a.m. activities  :)),  to see if Manhattanville has a new coach, and of course to scope the Aggie website!  With jobs in general being scarce, & absolutely not knowing what D3 women's coaches are paid, i would think that it would be a great job.  That is presuming that one wants to work their tails off for most of the year, but still a profession that could be very rewarding.  This year the MAC Freedom will be interesting - Alvernia goes to the "other side" & we'll be back to eight.

Eastern & King's have schedules up!

Thanks to Matt Levy, the Del Val athletic web site came alive this past year!  Thank you, Matt - i especially enjoyed reading the weekly blog!  Have a great vacation!  Very much looking forward to Aggie sports in 09-10!
