Without a doubt, the most choppy live stat game i've ever watched, but DVC won 59/46.  Emily Soper had a double double, 18pts./12 rebounds, & Kim Vennera had 13 points.  Congrats to the Aggies!

kate

A p.s. here for Lefty - it IS easy to temporarily forget about the opposing team's high scorer (Angie Owens with 17 i believe for Wesley) - you know what i'm talking about L.2.  The stats are out again from Dover - it would be fun to follow the Widener/Kean game, but i gotta clean up my kitchen.  GO PRIDE!

kate

At the half, Widener was ahead 41/29, but it appeared that Kean came storming back in the second half then the stats  went out.

kate

This is definitely not fun.  Trying to watch live stats on the Widener/Wesley game - they worked for the first 15 minutes or so, now they're gone.  Is it the  wind?  Will DVC/Kean game have L.S.'s?  Help!

kate

Wouldn't ya know, Wesley's ls's were perfect for me to see my Aggies go down, 87/41.  Please regroup DVC, & remember, Kean is darn near perfect.  Centenary looms on Monday, & we'll see you all in Doylestown for that one.  Going forward in what we hope will be a Very Happy New Year!!!

Kate

Try not and get too upset about the live stats failing. It's a problem almost every school has, some more than others. Personally, I think some of it has to do with the program version that imbeds sidearm into te web browser.
Of course, some of the problems have to do with the computers that each school chooses to "run" the program on. The company actually recommends that two computers are needed to make everything run smoothly! I wonder how many schools have not one, but two laptops running courtside doing this...it was a problem for many schools with football as well.
We run ours with one computer, but we don't have the "full" sidearm package that many of the other schools have. We lack some of the features/graphics, but ours has rarely "frozen"...in fact,we have a laptop running during the games that we use just to make sure livestats is working...
"To build may have to be the slow and laborious task of years. To destroy can be the thoughtless act of a single day."

Bill,
Thanks for the live stats info; it may be applicable to Scranton's experience which has been described as spotty due to technical difficulties in the Long Center. I may pass your notes on to their SID.

kate

Thank you, Bill.  i'm going to write your post down word for word & give it to our SID, Matt Levy, just in case.  We are kind of spoiled with live stats & streaming video, but when you love your teams  as much as we all do, & just can not get to that game, they're better than sliced bread.  Thank you, again, & a VERY Happy, Healthy New Year to everyone at the site, & all of our MAC teams & coaches.

As of today, January 1, 2010, just Lebanon Valley & Messiah remain undefeated in the MAC Commonwealth.  In the Freedom half, we all have some losses under our belts.  Very anxious for league play to start in earnest.

kate

Good luck to Misericordia tonight facing Kean at 8 pm in the tourney at Lycoming!  Is that the Cougars facing the Cougars?  Next Sat. better be like today, cause we're headed up 80 for the Aggie/Miseri game - please have the hotdogs on - that trip makes us hungry  :D!

kate

Misericordia outscored Kean 30 to 25 in the second half, but the Kean Cougars prevailed 72/53.  Misericordia's defense was good, especially in that 2nd stanza.

kate

So sorry, did NOT mean to jinx Lebanon Valley & Messiah, but both teams suffered their first loss yesterday, each by just two points.  We all know that they'll rally.

kate

Not quite awake yet, Messiah lost by four  :-\

kate

At the half in Williamsport, Kean leads Lyco 37/27 - Melissa Beyruti for Kean has shot 6 for 7 from the three point line accounting for all 18 of her first half points - can we clone her???

kate

Are ten made three pointers in a game a record?  That's what Miss Beyruti shot this afternoon in Lyco's Hoops for Hounds Tourney Championship game.  Kean won 76/52.
