Good luck this afternoon to both Manhattanville playing Catholic in the Championship game in DC, and King's playing Moravian in Moravian's Winter Classic Tourney.

King's went down today to Moravian, but Manhattanville made the MAC proud winning the CUA Tourney in DC, beating the host 75/68.  The Valiants led most of the game, & never panicked when the Cardinals made a late game run.  Thanks to Catholic for a great video feed.  First game watched since the Aggies live on Dec. 20th.  It was great!!!

Jeeez ! Up to this point, Moravian seems a lot better than their 5 - 6 record by beating DeSales by 20 and Kings by 15 ...I guess, as it goes,  'On Any Given Saturday'.

Kings Vs FDU should be a good game this weekend. Let's see if FDU makes any adjustments to stop their 4 game losing streak...

Good Luck to DeSales tonight taking on Baruch.  On paper, Baruch looks like a tough team.  It's almost time for the MAC when we start beating up on each other - let's all get ready for a good solid league season - GO AGGIES!!!

Good game at DeSales yesterday. DeSales turned the ball over too much to come away with a win. Turnovers have been a problem all year. DeSales bigs allowed 16 offensive rebounds and allowed the big men from Baruch to shoot 55% from the field. Post defense and rebounding have been a problem all year. DeSales bigs also have a hard time finishing around the rim. The overall guard play needs to improve. Although, Lidlow has been a shut down defender all year long.

The difficult schedule that DeSales has played so far this year, should have prepared them well for the remainder of conference play. Looking forward to seeing the team compete during the remainder of the season.

A very interesting game tonight as Manhattanville visits Lebanon Valley College.  It looks as if The Flying Dutch should take it, but the Valiants have been on a roll, coming off the wins at the CUA Tourney in DC.  Should be a fun game.

kate

At the half, LVC leads Manhattanville 36/28.  The Valiant's Taylor Wilson has five treys so far.

At the half of last night's LVC/Manhattanville match-up, i watched Big Bang, then a phone call prevented me from watching the second half.  It appears the Dutchmen held their own, winning 78/70.  Warren must be a happy camper this a.m.   Now,  their main contenders will be Widener, Messiah, and possible E'town.  Alvernia usually plays tough, as well.  Who knows how things will pan out in the Freedom.  DeSales always gives everyone a run, but FDU is a completely different team this season.  Good Luck to everyone (until they hit Doylestown  ;)), and STAY HEALTHY!!!

First, congratulations to Misericordia today beating my Aggies badly (look up the final score for yourselves), next an amazing win for Eastern beating DeSales this afternoon in St. Davids (at least i think they won, live stats died), King's really won big over FDU, and i'm pretty sure Manhattanville beat Wilkes.  I hope the Aggie Men get revenge!

Yes, Kings really put a hurt'in on FDU as they started to pick the Devils apart after the 1st 6 minutes...The Monarchs seemed to make all the right adjustments while FDU never established a game plan. FDU didn't have 2 of their players on the court due to injuries, however, this team is deep enough to counter their absence. It's 5 consecutive loses now...Something is not right in Dodge and I'm not sure it's only their .500 win / loss record...

The win in St. Davids was perhaps the biggest in the last ten years for an Eastern program that has been far south of mid-table in each of the last six years. DeSales did not have an answer for Shante Jones.

She is averaging 29 points a game over the last four games. When DeSales moved defenders over to try to get the ball out of her hands, she was able to find the open players, but she also hit a lot of contested shots in the second half.

Eastern has already surpassed last year's season total for wins.

Pat Coleman

Wait ... I thought DeSales had a shutdown defender at guard. Or is that just a dad's bravado?

Even tho the comment was a little "snarky"  ;), it's nice to know that our moderator while in Minnesota, still finds the time to drop into our little corner of the D3 world.  That's what makes the MAC so great, the competition is fierce, and one honestly is NEVER sure of any outcome.  Yesterday was a bad day for my Aggies, and it certainly was a horrible day all the way around, but our basketball "problems" & joys help to keep our minds on everything that's good.  GO AGGIES!!!

For Mr. Coleman .......
Lidlow's Dad, nope. Sorry about that. Wasn't at the game and don't know who guarded who. Any time Eastern beats DeSales, its a big win for Eastern. From the box score, the Eastern guard had a monster game. Congratulations to her. Also, from the box score, Lidlow only played for 19 mins. Not sure why. Maybe foul trouble ? My previous comments were only based upon the games that I have been at. Will have to make an effort to get to the game, the next time DeSales and Eastern meet up. Looking forward to the remainder of the season and to see what insighful comments Mr. Coleman has in his future posts. Maybe Mr. Coleman should make an effort to see our Mac girls play sometime in the future ? GO MAC Basketball !
