The DeSales/Misericordia is Wednesday night according to both teams schedules, but here it's listed as tonight - which one is it?

BJ - DSU SID

Game is Wednesday Kate...always trust schools' web sites first.

I just read whereby Kyra Dayon was selected as the Freedom Conference Player of the Week....For sure, well deserved ! She is a force on all levels of the game  (only 5'8" and leads the team in rebounds too !) ..My understanding is that she's a great team player too...

On another note, while there may be more parity in the MAC these days, it's less competitive on national level. Long gone are the days when the Freedom Conference routinely had 3 schools ranked in the top 25  i.e. Scranton, Kings, and Desales....In the Commonwealth, Messiah was always there too.

As I mentioned in a previous post, I thought Leigh-Ann Lively was a real talent for FDU. I find it very peculiar that she's been overlooked this season with not starting even one game and average only 9 minutes ...I know I know, she's only a frosh....But really ...Come on... ..Hmmm ..Makes one wonder..

BJ's correct. I mistyped the date but all MAC playoff games are tomorrow.  That's what happens when you enter 50 playoff games in one evening. :)

No worries Gordon...you have a lot going on these days.

Plus...depending on which school it is...school's web sites aren't always right.

Yes, Gordon - you're the best!  WOW, tonight's gonna be some night for live stats!  Between our two MAC games, DeSales at Misericordia & Eastern at King's, there's the Marywood/GMC game not to mention the guys' contests AND the Sixers!  Looking forward to a great night of b'ball!!!

That was a heart stopping group of games last night from both sides of the league!  Could not be any more proud of the Widener Pride and Coach K!  :D!  Very sorry about the DeSales loss, cause it undoubtedly means that we'll be switching back & forth on the computer instead of cheering live  :-\.  Oh well, i know who i'm for on Sat.  Actually nothing against the other two teams, but GO King's and GO Widener!!!

I watched the Messiah v.Widener Game last night and Messiah got screwed out of that one.  That was the most lopsided officated game I have ever watch, not just the last play of the game which in itself was brutal but the entire way through the game.  Arguablly messiah top two players, their big girls both get two fouls in the first five minutes for being big.  They did nothing else wrong except for being bigger and more athletic than their counter parts.  Yet despite playing 15 minutes of the first half without those two the game was tied and going to go into to overtime before a brutal call by the offical. calling a foul on a loose ball with under 4 seconds left in the game is unheard of, especially one where no contact was made and if anything a jump ball should of been . Sure messiah could of done things better (turnovers) but instaead of playing out overtime to see who the better team that night was, the officals took that away from Messiah and likely cost the team a chance for NCAA's

Also I think that either the all Commenwealth team is a joke or that Mike Miller should be coach of the year.  How does a team go 12-2 in the conference and only have one of the top 11 players? The other 3 of the top four teams had the follwoing number of players widener 2 (10-4), etown 2 (9-5), lvc, 4 (13-1).  Lastly though dellinger is a great player and deserves to be on the first team i think the fact that Dori Gyori is a dravesty.   Dori leads the league in scoring and field goal percentage,  averages more rebounds, shoots a higher percentage from the line, and has more blocks than dellinger and that makes her more deserving of player of the year.  The only stat Dellinger is better than Dori (per Macc website) is steals.  And according to the all conference team Dellinger has more help.

Just my observations.

The all conference team, may have something to do with LVC's cocach refusing to vote for Messiah players.  Just a theory

While i'm thinking about this, some 15 years ago we were at a Tournament at Elizabethtown following Del Val, a participant with Galludet and one more school that escapes me at the moment.  We were walking the halls in their magnificent gym, and we walked by Coach Kauffman's office.  She was coming out, and we smiled at each other, and she said "you have a nice team there" (i was wearing my Aggie apparel).  That meant so much to me at the time, and she said it like she meant it.  Good luck Coach, 42 years at the helm and 659 wins - amazing!

Absolutely CAN NOT wait til 1 & 2 pm respectively for the starts of the two MAC Championship games!!!   At one, it will be Miseri at King's, and at 2, it's Widener out in Annville with Lebanon Valley.  Very unfortunately, we're not at  either game, but on the plus side, it allows us to follow both on the computer (glad we have two of em  ::))!  Talk about either or both games - ANYONE???

Misericordia wanted it bad today, knocking off King's at Scandlon, 64/54.  Congratulations to them!  I know they will represent the MAC Freedom very well!

Warren Thompson

This day in Annville: LVC 80, Widener 71.

kate

WOW!!! What a game, congratulations to LVC and super star, Kiely Chaklos!   Widener played great, but LVC played even better!   Now it's Misericordia and Lebanon Valley College representing the MAC!  What an afternoon!!!

kate

Wow!  King's & Misericordia both in!!  Represent the MAC well Ladies and we're sure you will!  BEST LUCK!
