D3 Hoops poll is out:  Preseason, Lebanon Valley College, # 10; Messiah, # 13, and King's, "also receiving votes" - Go MAC, and Go Aggies!   Let's show em!

2013 Women's Preseason All-Americans have been announced - The MAc is well represented.  Meghan Nowak, Eastern, third team and Kate Dellinger, Widener and Dori Gyori, Messiah, fourth team.  Congratulations to all.  Looking forward to seeing Kate play on Nov. 16th when Widener plays the Aggies at the McDaniel Opening Tourney.

No roster posting yet for the Lady Devils even though the men's 2012-13 team is already up.....In the past, Coach Mitchell's program seemed to prioritize athleticism over talent, skill, and court savvy.. My sense is that he will put another quick squad on the court this year. Once again, there will be extreme emphasis on aggressive D and O.... Last year, the team used steals rather than rebounds to secure possession which often worked well unless they played a tough seasoned team with multiple ball handlers..

Kyra Dayon was the sole ingredient which prevented total chaos on the floor last year. Hopefully, she'll have more help in the upcoming season. My view is that if any of their opponents take them lightly or don't prepare a solid game plan, there's a good chance the Devils will take them..

The FDU roster is up; only 11 named on the squad; the same 5 from Trenton and the carry-overs from  East Orange and Irvington...There were only 2 new recruits which is surprising considering how much talent there is from the high schools in the surrounding area...

Kate:  How did the Del Val do in there scrimmage this past Friday night?  Did you hear anything?

kate

Good morning bballisking!  From what i heard, they won the scrimmage.  Actually, i didn't know it was happening until the Mom of a player posted something about the win on FB.  Still struggling here with downed trees after that storm, but looking forward to heading to McDaniel on Friday to watch em play in the opening tourney.  Can't believe i'm saying this, but after that storm week, b'ball was taking a backseat.  Have to bring it back to the forefront where is belongs :)!

O.K., back from our weekend in Westminster!  McDaniel ran a nice opening tourney although a working scoreboard would have helped matters in yesterday's consolation game :-\    Also would have been better if we had won - congrats to Emory & Henry, they pulled it out in the final two minutes - 84/81.   It was a long, dark ride home.  It was a reunion weekend with the DiBonaventura Family, Coach Kintner at Widener, former DeSale's player, Rose Katz coaching E & H and of course the Aggie gang and their families.  Looking forward now to our game on Nov. 26th with Rowan!   Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Very much looking forward to tomorrow night's home opener for the Aggies.  They'll be playing Rowan and i sure hope last week's injuries at the McDaniel Tourney will be a thing of the past.   We have very solid players if everyone can be healthy and ready to play - GO AGGIES!!!

Congratulations to the FDU Devils tonight - big road win  @ DeSales, 71-56. Beat DeSales for only the 3rd time in school history, and I believe the first ever road win....

Hi Bill, Congratulations indeed!  Winning at Center Valley to boot - good job!

Yes, nice win for the Devils; also glad a spot was found on the floor this year for soph, L.L. ... It makes a big difference having a genuine shooter out there who hits her shots; seems like they couldn't figure that out for the last few years....Good luck to all the Lady Devils going forward....Play smart and stay healthy !!

Misericordia gave em a good game - very proud of both the Cougars and Messiah!  Mighty MAC

Hello to Gordon Mann!  Saw you at the half munching your hotdog, but knew you had a limited time before the game resumed - you did see a good game, however!  Would have been a lot lot better had the Aggie ladies had four more points!  Next time i'll say Hi - so glad you covered both Del Val games this afternoon.  I see the guys are behind at the half, but i have to start dinner - thanks again for the D3 coverage.   On another note, how about FDU - they beat King's this afternoon!  WOW

bill

Yes, the FDU ladies have the ability to very athletic at times...although I did not get to see them play first hand today....
