Actually, Ronk, thank you for reminding me, and consider it done!

In addition to finding a place on the floor this year for soph leading scorer, L. Lively, the play of frosh of Center Rachel Groom has been the other real difference maker for the Lady Devils. GO FDU...BEAT  Moravian...

kate

Yes, Sp0rtsfan - that's shaping up to be the game of the day for sure tomorrow!!!   Our days of going to two games in one day are over (getting old :(), but anybody who can get away should certainly find their way to Bethlehem for that Championship game at 3 pm!  Yes, GOOOOO FDU - we'll be at the DVC/TCNJ game at 7.  It's just cutting it a bit close for us, but enjoy every second of it!

kate

Actually the FDU/Moravian game tomorrow is at 5:30 pm at the Greyhound gym in Bethlehem.

As previously mentioned, the FDU Devils have a very big challenge with Moravian ahead. Here's wishing them the best!

FDU has EVERY reason to be ecstatic tonight knocking off #21 in the country, Moravian, 83/79!   Congratulations players, coaches and fans!   Del Val won by a point, 59/58, beating TCNJ.   Again, WOW to FDU!

bill

Wow...just got the FDU score...great job ladies!

Kate,
Did you vote for the 100th anniversary MAC teams?  You can do it now for the winter sports(women's bball). Remember all those fine Lady Royals in your voting.

Hey, I think Susquehanna's Kristen Venne (Josten's Player of the Year '99) and Karyn Kern definitely deserve some votes too! Especially since whomever compiled that ballot left off half of their honors!

So can we say that beating the #21 team in their gym should get the Lady Devils into the Top 25 ??  Just based on the numbers, Kyra Dayon had 8 steals in her 40 minutes of play......Guard Jalessa Lewis had 8 assists and 11 boards; and Center Rachel Groom was 4 for 4 from the field and 7-8 from the stripe.....This team seems like they're playing with a chip on the shoulder; on a roll...

May be tough due to strength of schedule.  Massey has them at #46 after the win over Moravian, the thing dragging them down is that their strength of schedule is only 291st.  The only teams they have played that are currently rated in the top 100 are Lebanon Valley (rated #80; loss) and Moravian (now #54; win).  Most of their wins have been against teams rated 200 or higher.  I suspect they may be in next week's "others receiving votes" list but not in the top 25.

That sounds right. I had Moravian on my ballot and FDU-Florham could take their place.  But if I only have one new slot to fill, it'll likely go to Whitman after the Lady Missionaries (yes, that's their mascot) beat No. 5 Lewis & Clark handily at their place. Whitman has one loss to non-Division III Eastern Oregon.

This might be the only time Whitman (Washington) and FDU-Florham are ever linked together in Division III athletics. :)

FDU moves to 12-1 with a win over Rutgers Camden tonight... on to conference play to finish out the season....

Typo noted for MAC Freedom Player of the Month; should be FDU's Kyra Dayon not her sister, Kara ..I hope they're friends !  :-)

The Devils are rolling. As this isn't the strongest set of Freedom Conference programs for some years, it will be an upset if any team beats them for the rest of the regular season..

sp0rtsfan

Revision was made to the MAC site - Freedom Player of the Week now reflects Kyra Dayon....My view is that she will also be a leading candidate for Conference Player of the Year.

Devils take Manhattanville tonight by 20...go ladies!
