Somewhere in southwest PA, CJ is smiling  :'(   As my better half calls them, "The New & Improved Wilkes."  They played well, congrats!

A huge thank you to Gordon Mann for carrying our Aggie games this afternoon, particularly the women's game.  O.K., Gordon, you brought us luck today - now you're gonna have to cover all of em  ;)!   Again, many thanks!

.....The lack of quality teams in the Freedom Conference is continuing to make it tough for FDU to gain credibility and respect on national level....Hopefully, they can crack the code in this week's Top 25...

Any word on when their starting PG, J. Lewis, will return to the lineup   ?

Looks like they should have a good shot at cracking the top 25.  7 of the 12 teams immediately ahead of FDU had losses last week, including Moravian.  I have to think FDU will jump past a few of them at least.  Another strong non-conference win or two would have been very helpful, no doubt.

Hi Sp0rtsfan!  Believe me, i'm happy for you guys, but stop worrying about "cracking the top 25".   If you should win out your conference games & make a deep run in the tourney, that should be plenty of justification for your outstanding season.  Of course, a bump in the road, maybe Wed. night  ;), wouldn't really do any harm either.   We won't be there Wed., unfortunately, been sick, but may the best team that night win.

Good point Kate. The thing is win the conference get into the tourney and win there. Then your team and school will get all the recognition they deserve.  :)

Yes, agree. You're absolutely right !  If FDU gets into the tourney, and wins a few, the ranking should take care of itself...I'll back off and just wish the team well, one game at a time. Ha ! In fact, it may serve them best to feel a little slighted; often good motivation to prove others wrong..

(Kate, hope you're feeling better soon).

Howdy Sp0rtsfan!  First, believe you me (us) - we are genuinely happy for FDU!   Especially great was the night you beat Moravian!   Still smiling about that one!   Thanks so much for your get well wishes.  We'll be watching live stats tonight, and just really hoping we can get to the Wilkes game in Wilkes Barre this Sat.   We wait all year for the season, and it's a real bummer to be sick if just for a couple of games - thanks again!

Two big upsets tonight in our Commonwealth half - Elizabethtown knocks off Messiah and  Widener takes care of Lebanon   Valley!  No predictability there for sure!

bill

Congrats again to the Devils, running to 7-0 in conference. Will hopefully get back to full strength soon!

DeVal put up a good fight against the Devils. Although it's always a team effort, Kyra Dayon has the talent to take over a game at will, either by herself, or to help others.....She continues to be a force at many different levels....

This Wednesday night the Del Val Men's & Women's double header is against arch rival, DeSales!  It's also a benefit night for the Jimmy V Foundation.  What would be extra special for all of us Aggie fans would be a nice sweep!   Haven't said it in forever, but GO AGGIES!!!

kate

Sorry for the double here, but just wanted to give a shout out to the Wilkes announcer for Saturday's Wilkes/Del Val game - he was so good - he knew the background of the Aggie players, and had an outstanding game delivery.  The videographer was on his/her game as well.  Home sick, but they combined for a very enjoyable experience!  Thanks, Wilkes!

A huge congratulations to  FDU-Florham for breaking into the national rankings, settling in at #25 in this week's newly-released poll.  That's an awesome achievement.  Now, they just need to guard against the idea that "we've arrived" but, instead, use this ranking as a springboard for additional success.
