This election has upset me, however, now we're looking forward to DVU's opening game with Rowan at 7 pm in Doylestown.  Go Aggies, and yes, Go MAC!!!

kate

:'(, so upset I forgot to say the game is Tuesday, Nov. 15 - I'm getting back to whatever normal is, slowly but surely.

Kate:

I'm guessing the Legalize marijuana referendum was defeated yet again in Pa.??
Hang in there, there's always next year.  :o

Totally hysterical as ever Saratoga - have to wait an agonizing four years for my fix.  Now back to basketball - Aggies!!!

Misericordia head coach Jason Rhine gets his first career win, 56-26, at Penn State Harrisburg.

Yes, our Aggies lost by four last night to a very good Rowan team - final score 71/67!  Both teams played very hard. It was a fun game to watch, especially since it was the home opener!  Thank God for basketball!!!  Next up for DVU, a trip to St. Mary's, Maryland on Friday to play in their tournament.  We were impressed!

Does Goucher have video for their home games?  Specifically tonight's game at 7 with Del Val?

Yes they will... and in a random situation, I will be PA announcer for the game. So... enjoy?

Thank you Dave!  Believe me, I will try :)!!!

Good video Dave and the Goucher Ladies certainly make those shots when they had to.  As always, I'd feel much more comfortable with a deeper bench.  That said, you have to work (and work) with what you have.  Congratulations Goucher!

Kate - glad to hear the video worked. I have advised them not to broadcast from that side of the gym as they have to do it on the WiFi router... but I am happy to hear it worked out.

As for making their shots, I was shocked to see Goucher was shooting 50% late in the game. SO many missed shots underneath was driving me crazy. Goucher is in transition. Many of the players are from the previous coach and it ended up being VERY guard heavy - and the same style of guard as well. The new coach is very good and already I'm seeing a difference in the type of players (42 is a freshman; she has a lot of potential). The bench is nice, but man did both teams foul a LOT. I think the refs were just trying to find when to call and not call things. They could have stopped play every five seconds if they wanted to. But yeah, your depth is going to be impossible to overcome. Sad to see, to be honest. That program has seen better days. I am sure it will return.

Sure hope so Dave because that program has brought us a lot of fun and joy over the past 20 years!  I do feel that it goes in cycles, especially with the loads of competition for students and especially basketball playing ones, down in that area.  We do love that school and that particular program, ever since the days of Jeanne Waznak!!!

That first win feels so darn good!!!  Congratulations Lady Aggies and Coaches, beating Cabrini this afternoon 60/40!!!

WOW, DeSales win over Albright last night!  Hate to see a MAC on MAC battle like that when one of them is going to lose, but congrats to the Lady Bulldogs!  Also congrats to Coach Richter for winning his 500th  game a few weeks ago.  It would be fun seeing a DeSales/Scranton match-up down the line ;)!
