Congrats to FDU for its opening win...on to Babson!

Congrats to Babson...a tough one to lose for FDU.

Congrats go to the two graduating players - Alyssa & Rachel. They leave with an astounding 108-13 career record...1 national title, 4 NCAA appearances, and 4 conference championships. WOW.

Would anyone out there know where Aja Blount from Northampton Area High School might be playing her college basketball?

Last night we were watching the Bethlehem Catholic/Villa Maria Championship 4A game - B.C. won and congratulations to them.  Posted this because we heard that one of the stars of B.C. is Tessa Zamolyi who will be headed to Misericordia!  And now, does anyone know where Northampton Area High School's, Aja Blount, will be playing her college ball?  They, too, made a deep run in the States, losing last week by one point.

Tried to interest Tessa in Scranton; she's a good get for Miseri. Haven't heard about Blount.

Thanks Ronk!  We will look forward to seeing her play when the Cougars come to Del Val!   Aja Bount is a great post player.  I suppose I could message her through facebook, but I don't want her to think I'm a stalker 8-) - It was fun seeing Scranton get that far in the NCAA's and FDU did well, too.   Always looking forward to November!

D1 Lafayette here in Easton needs a coach.   Still wondering where Aja Blount will be  playing in college, if indeed she will be attending college and playing basketball.   We all know it's not always easy, but for us, the fans, it's so very worth it!  I would imagine, too, that it's a memory the player will have for the rest of her life!

Local paper said Blount was undecided but had an upcoming visit to Caldwell University in NJ....

Many thanks Roundball - absolutely no one from the Express-Times was commenting on this.  She is a great post player!!!

Many thanks Roundball - absolutely no one from the Express-Times was commenting on this.  She is a great post player!!!

It was in a Morning Call article last week, she was their POY:

"Blount wants her future to include basketball even though she has letters of interest for track (discus) from schools such as Lehigh, Bucknell and Niagara. She's looking at a few schools for basketball and will visit Caldwell College in New Jersey this week. She'll compete in track in her last months as a scholastic athlete and then make a final decision."

Wow, Roundball, I had no idea of Aja's other athletic talents!   Glad the Morning Call carried her story.  We stopped with the Call when they no longer had their Quakertown office and therefore no longer covered our Aggies!  Thanks again.  Hopefully others on here will keep up the who's going where chatter.  I don't believe our Express-Times has even had the b'ball all-area teams this year!

Just popping in to mention I have been told Mackenzie Yori will be transferring from Scranton to King's next season. Could be a significant player for the Monarchs next season. Could be fun to watch. I was told she was heavily recruited by King's out of high school. Spent a year at Scranton was a significant player her freshman campaign. Shall be fun to see how she helps King's next season.

If it all comes to pass, Good Bye Arcadia/Beaver - we hardly knew ya!   Good luck in your new league and may your grass always be greener.
