What's going on with FDU-Florham?  I know they're young, but they have a great coach.

Heatlee--10 players on the roster and 6 are freshmen. 8/10 are frosh-soph. How can this be? Did they really graduate that many players or is there just a huge amount of turnover on this squad?

WolfPAC

How does one explain EU beating Widener?  I thought Widener would have taken it to them on the boards.  I don't want to hear about foul trouble or uneven fouls either.

Can someone explain... or is the MAC down a few notches this year because of a poor talent pool in this area?

Men & Women?

WolfPac, i don't know if you're referring to the men's teams or the women's teams, but in the nine years that we've been following DelVal, this year's team, to me, shows more promise than we've seen in a long time.  Talent wise the Aggies have four excellent freshmen players & combining that with the established talent, they should do well for the next three years.  Also i think talented squads draw likewise talent, so now we'll just wait & see & enjoy every game for all it's worth!

The men just lost to Eastern, the women seem to do well against PAC teams traditionally.

Actually, i was referring to the Women's team, as we don't usually follow the Del Val men.  They did have a nice win today against a fiesty Cabrini squad comprised mostly of sophs & freshmen.  They will be a force to be reckoned with in the PAC for the rest of the season.  Now, the Aggies have to contend with the league games starting Wed. at Drew.  No walk in the park for them - competition is stiff.

I'm a bit surprised that the Univ. of Scranton wasn't given a little more attention after their 17 point win over Stevens this afternoon. As far as the scores go, it would seem to the novice that the UofS victory was a rather ho-hum run of the mill win for a so-so team. In reality, the Lady Royals probably could have won this game by 30...so I'm a little confused by the lack of response to this game when it seems like Muhlenberg over Haverford was the greatest thing since cinnamon toast. By the way, Scranton is the current # 4 team in the nation...and has been at or near # 1 for about 20 years running...a little respect , please!

Just reading your post from yesterday, Saratoga, i'm reminded just how much i'll miss those humble offerings, cause i'm pretty darn sure i won't be in the Landmark site much!  You guys will have a totally new kingdom now :)!  i hope Coach Richter is not humming a certain song from The Lion King :).  It must be the rain this morning.  Remember people, ya don't have to have a daughter on a team to post here - i notice King's has come alive after the break.

saratoga

Kate: Of course you'll visit the Landmark site...if you didn't, who would you have to talk to? I mean besides you & some UofS posters this is a fairly quiet location. I'm sure Coaches Strong & Hogan will work something out regarding future scheduling...at least I hope so. There is alot of history there with Mike seeing Coach Hogan as both a player & now Head Coach.

Saratoga---The Lady Royals are starting to gel.I spoke with some people who went to Florida for the tournament and they said they looked really good. Also they did beat a fairly solid Stevens team.  It looks as though they are out of their early season slump... Taryn looks like her old self and Alli is always her old self. I really amimpressed with Ryan Mooney.

Kate--Saratoga is correct, you will go to the Landmark section as not too many people post here. Also, I remember quite a few battles between our teams, especially whenyou have Alissa Dibonaventura.

Lyco Vs FDU on Saturday should be interesting game. After watching both teams play, it's easy to see that FDU has height but a shortage of guards and Lyco has the reverse - plenty of guards but no size in the post. Both teams are young although that seems to be the case with a lot of schools. I, as others, would  really like to know why the FDU roster has scaled down to 10. What's up there ?

bill

while FDU's roster may have "dwindled", it's really not that far off from where it's been. Last season, it was a 12 person roster, and they had 5 seniors.
Like any other school, some kids choose not to play again, or just can't cut it academically...

Was just prowling around websites, & i notice the # 1 team in the country. Bowdoin, has just l2 people on their roster - interesting.

saratoga

Kate: As do the Lady Royals this season.

kate

Just to substantiate that theory that "on any given night", the Lady Mules were upset tonight, at home, by McDaniel by i believe 25 points.  Now, i don't feel so bad about the Aggies losing their game to them in Maryland by 12.  Competition is TIGHT!  Go Aggies!
