Agreed Roy, but the King's women have big games with Drew at home Wednesday and DVC on the road Saturday coming up, so I am sure they are not looking ahead. At least they better not be or that will spell trouble for sure.  Those are two games that can certainly end on the down side of the score.

I am not at all trying to draw any conclusion based on the results of the King's-Scranton-Mt.St. Mary's games at all. I am just saying that you never know what will happen and you can't compare results. Plus Williams did not play and that has to  make a diffrence for Scranton, even though no one will know for certain if the end result would hve been different.

roy boy and ziadie,
You guys are homers, especially ziadie. It wouldn't matter if they played at King's again, Legendary coach Mike Strong would have his gals ready and I guarantee you they wouldn't need a big second half. The game would be over at halftime.
Understand, ziadie?

Roy, tomorrow night in case the opportunity doesn't present itself, could you please relay to Coach Strong that this rabid (since the 98-99 season) Aggie fan will certainly miss the excitement that he brings to each game & also, everything that he's done for women's D3 basketball - i will honestly miss that Scranton aura, & that's not sarcasm - thanks!

kate

To all you Scranton posters - please start to feel better about the loss the other night - now you all know how horrible the Aggie family felt after the FDU loss last week, & so badly, yet.  Regroup, & just keep playing the best b'ball ya can as will DVC. i hope.  See you all tonight - Kate

Allrighty Kate.....a tie ballgame with a minute left, your team sure gave it their all.....Tell me what you saw? Did the Aggies outplay, out hussle the UOS or what was the story?

kate

Roy, we're an hour away from the school, just got in, made some hot chocolate, and am still trying to catch my breath - not seeing the stats, it's kind of hard to tell, but your Steph & of course, your Taryn are deadly with that three - i was very impressed with the pose of our freshman point guard, Kim, & Rachel, Brooke, Moira & Shannon also gave their all - as a gentleman from Doylestown who follows the Lady Royals (how dare he? :)) said, "if Del Val brought that intensity to all their games, they'd win more."  Here's hoping for our sake that they do - meantime great rebound game for your team - congrats!

Any Messiah fans out there? I seems like the Falcons are having a pretty good year so far.  :D

After yesterdays game between the UofS & Drew...even though the teams will continue to play each other in the Landmark Conf., it may be the last we get to see such a great group of seniors going against one another. It seems like only yesterday that the Royals brought in Allie Matt & Taryn Mellody then complimented them with Tiffany Williams, Casey Thran & Tammy Waiters, while Drew brought in great kids like Courtney Cunningham, Melissa Kraft, Maggie Marquis & Genie Valantassis. Still  nearly a full second half to go & a few wins here & there & the last two spots for the playoffs are probably still wide open. One can only wonder what might have been if the kids at Drew had a consistant coaching staff for their four years?

Hold those sentimental thoughts, Saratoga - King's comes in to give you guys another run for your money Wed. night - should be an interesting game.  Like you just mentioned, you'll have Drew & Moravian, Goucher, Juniata - gosh, it just goes on & on -  sorry, one of my New Year's resolutions was to not be synical.  Were you at the game last Wed. night?  Never heard your comments about it.

Kate: I'm not assuming anything as to who'll win the Freedom...however, with zero losses at this point the Lady Royals most certainly have every opportunity to land one of the top two spots barring any unforseen total meltdowns. As far as the game Wed's., I wasn't there so not much I could say...what were your impressions? I think this Wed's. game vs. Kings is very big for both teams...Scranton wants to make sure they continue to win in the conference & create a further degree of seperation as well as keep the home winning streak going. On the other hand, Kings is trying to keep their current winning streak alive and get a little more room for one of the remaining playoff spots. Should be a great game...on paper & from what I've seen it certainly looks like Scranton, Desales & Kings should get in & it will be a real battle once again for that 4th. & final playoff spot between Drew, DVC & FDU. It would pretty safe to say only Lyco & Wilkes have no chance to get in...BUT, they could certainly play the role of spoiler.

kate

We do have to "thank" you guys (Scranton) for DVC bringing their A-game to Wed. night's match-up.  It was fun to watch, & if there's such a thing as a good loss, that was one of em.    One wonders if King's will play you with the intensity the Aggies were showing that night - they will want to, of course, but will they?  Can't wait to see the score.

roy_a

Kate--If Kings plays us with intensity and we do not match th ires, the home win streak will come to an end. If Scranton plays to its capabilities, on paper, we should win. Funny thing though, I've never seen a game on paper.......

saratoga

Kate: Just about every team that plays Scranton brings their "A" game...this has been a ritual for about 20 years running. As I've said before, on any given night a team with only 7 or 8 wins can put it all together and knocking off the Lady Royals would make a season of frustration all worth it. I don't think you'll need to worry about Kings starting out with intensity...that should be a given.
