NEPAFAN:  Classes will be on spring break next week, so it should be a little calmer.  But you never know.  ;D

TC's take:  "What'd you call me?"

P.S. "Gwynedd Mercy should be ranked"

TC HOOPS

roy, we were thinking about coming up, should be two great games. Nice people up in Scranton, plus they won't throw me out like NYU.

jose, I really don't care what anyone calls me but when someone puts down the girls on GMC my daugher being one of them, you can bet i am going to get in their face. So get the story straight, I know that's hard for you to do. PS - The NERVE of me thinking GMC who finished the season at 26-3 and took NYU down to the last minutes of the game should be ranked in the top 25, your right what was I thinking???? My BAD!!!!

Congratualtions to Messiah on a fine season and thank you to the graduating seniors for their contributions. I share your disapointment in not advancing deeper into the tourney.  2nd year in a row hot shooting 3's knocked you out in the 2n round.   Kean is a very good team and a threat to NYU in this bracket if they get by RM.  Hopefully next season the Falcons can find a way to keep stronger teams off the offensive glass.  Good luck to Scranton and their fans.  Will be listening on this site.

Just read in this morning's newspaper that Alvernia will be joining the MAC in the 08-09 season - welcome to the League!

In a rare moment of clarity, I offer a genuine "Good Luck" to the Lady Royals this weekend.   As much as Bowdoin should feel slighted about having to travel, all 4 teams should feel slighted about being put into the "Regional of Death".

But, how again does a 26-1 team have to travel 400+ miles to play Rochester (who's no slouch), and then play a Top 5 team on their court?  Should be interesting, if nothing else.  If the "townies" can sober up post-parade on Saturday night, they'll be in for a treat.

CJ, that's an easy question to answer. Scranton is hosting "again" because the NCAA is too cheap to fly Mary Washington and Rochester to Bowdoin, the school that should rightfully host.
You see any school that is not within a 500 mile radius of the host team is be flown in to that site.
It was put on the front page of this website that Scranton was selected to host because of geographics. While that part is true, the major reason was not posted and that was because of what I said in the first paragraph.
Still, playing at home this weekend will give Scranton the inside track on putting up another Final Four Flop next week. Providing they get past this weekend.
Regardless of any rebuttals to this post, what I wrote is dead-on accurate and the info comes direct from some sources at Scranton U.

Yes, i'm reasonably sure that all the MAC posters here wish the Lady Royals the best luck tonight - make your last year in the League a memorable one!

Like we all didn't know the NCAA was cheap?

I believe Brian Bosworth said it best on his T-shirt during his final with Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl:

National Communists Against Athletes.

Of course Bosworth was an idiot but let me see or hear the NCAA tell Duke to take a 400+ mile bus to their NCAA game. Imagine the national media jumping all over the NCAA for that. NOT!
