See, it's a tad confusing - meant Alvernia (super glad you're here, though :))!

In search of answers, i found C.J.'s reference on the men's site to a newspaper article listing the new "shakeout" of the MAC for this coming year & next.  It is a great article, & you can read it by heading over to the MAC Men's site.

Congratulations to Messiah's Nikki Lobach and Scranton's Taryn Mellody on their selection to the Kodak/WBCA All-America Team.

To have two from the MAC, and two Honorable mention, Courtney Cunningham & Allison Matt, that's Great!!!

Congratulations to DePauw!  How about Marist knocking off Ohio?!  Sources tell me that it (Marist) was once a junior college - now, look at em!  Can Keystone be far behind?  Temple & Rutgers made it out of the first round - hope Temple can handle Duke tomorrow night & Rutger's plays Michigan State, i believe.  Go Scarlet Knights & Owls!  Two more months for Drew & Scranton in the MAC Freedom

Looks like King's will be playing in a tournament in Cancun, Mexico next winter. Two of the other teams slated to compete are Messiah and new national champion DePauw. Supposedly there will be six teams and the matchups have yet to be determined, but it sounds like a great field of squads will be there. Would be nice for King's to play both Messiah and DePauw to get that top level of competition.

Cancun in Dec..sounds like a great vacation for a fan...I am sure that playing that kind of competition is only going to help a Kings team that I feel is on the precipice of making a good run in the NCAA playoffs next year., They will need a bit more depth, but the main points are already in place. Now I'm day-dreaming of Cancun.....

Ya know, with all the conferences in D-3 Women's B'ball, it's pretty cool to have two teams listed in the final 06-07 top 25.  i for one, am very grateful that most of the time, the competition in league is fierce.  Del Val had two melt-downs this season that i saw.  Then again, i'm not the one on the court, so i don't know what players are dealing with.  Still say that Drew & Scranton will be very much missed by me - but i'm totally looking forward to the arrival of Manhattanville & Arcadia for the new season - miss the Aggies, miss going to two games a week & am excited about November!

I see someone has knowledge of the tourney in Cancun next December. I know that Depauw will be playing. Does anyone have a web site or more info on this tourney?? I would love to know the exact dates. I think it is before Christmas?  Depauw loses 5 seniors; 4 played significant minutes and had big production including All-American Liz Bondi. Sounds like great competition lining up.

Regarding the "withdrawal" article on Pat's blog, Pat, you'll be busy this summer arranging the league changes - but until then, how can anyone not be overcome with emotion watching the Women's D1 l6, 8 & 4?  When Kay Yow walked off that court the other night after that heart-breaking loss to Conn., or tonight when the Lady Scartlet Knights go against Arizona.  That game replaces one that wasn't played at a holiday tourney due to the death of an Arizona starter's brother.  It's better than any movie i've ever seen - IT'S REAL!!!  Still miss the Aggies like crazy, but GO RUTGER'S!!!

kate

It'll be a tough mountain to climb, but GO RUTGER's!  GO NORTH CAROLINA!

kate

Darn Phillies squashed a really great sport's weekend (Rutger's hanging tough), by losing their home opener in front of a sell-out crowd - ugh!  i was actually jealous last week when Cabrini had all those poster chime in over their coaching problems.  Thank God the Aggies don't have similar problems, but i really wish the other Aggie posters would identify & we could start a dialogue.  Hope they have a great camp in June with tons of prospective players - GO AGGIES - GO RUTGER'S!!!

Rutger's will play like champions next season (after all, they did beat Conn., Duke, & LSU! Everyone will be back, too!  Saw the WNBA draft this afternoon.  For the first time a community college senior was selected (she brought her own tape).  Can D3 candidates be far behind ( a Philly team with Dawn Staley coaching & loads of area D-3 people on it)!
