It's probably tough for Drew to be replacing their head coach right about now - could Melissa Kraft run the team for a  season?  Depending on a day job, she could handle it nicely.  Other than not scheduling FDU this year, i still have a soft spot for Drew.  i wouldn't go this far, but my better half always said "Go Drew." :)  Can't wait til the 17th of November at Selinsgrove.  Was wondering if that gentleman, Tom Housenick, is still a sport's writer for the newspaper there.   GO AGGIES!!!

Ya gotta Believe - Aggies Fan, Phillies Fan - ya Gotta Believe!!! :)

O.K., answering my own post :), Drew has selected a head coach who previously was the coach at Washington College.  Can't wait until rosters start coming up & also, for November l7th!  Go Aggies & for heaven's sakes - GO PHILS!

Had a little problem logging in to the Daily Dose, but Pat concluded an article about the MAC including the four PAC schools, Alvernia, Arcadia, Eastern, & Misericordia with the statement that it's "a mess."  Personally i don't see WHY it's "a mess" anymore than the far flung Landmark could be this winter particularly with fans going miles to watch their teams - price of gas going way up.  The only teams that seemed very eager to leave the MAC were Scranton (showing the Landmark logo since Nov.), &, of course, Susquehanna with Mr. Housenick's editorial goading everyone on.  As a rabid MAC supporter, i'm willing to give these new (to us) schools a fighting chance along with Manhattanville.  GO MAC!!!

Pat Coleman

It's a mess (the REGION is) because so many schools have changed affiliations in the past few years.

Five teams in total left the MAC for the Landmark. If they weren't eager to do so I wonder why they bothered.

One could also say "why did those four PAC teams jump immediately to the MAC?"  Somehow, it's just me, of course, but i get the feeling Moravian will never be really "happy" in any sport's league in less they're winning it all, the Drew people were sucked into this, i think, Susquehanna had Housenick, Scranton will always be Scranton, God bless em, & i truly don't know about Juniata, but suspect their situation was much like Drew's.    May i stress that these are all my ideas - sure as heck don't know anyone personally at any of these schools, but i'm looking forward to seeing Susquehanna next month, & possibly meeting Tom Housenick :).  GO AGGIES & GO MAC!!!

Sorry for the double here, but i think, too, that a lot of teams welcome the parity & competition of the MAC; we have never seemed like a "dead" league, you always feel that you can climb the ladder in the league, unlike other leagues where one team usually takes it all.

Kate,

The Mac may not have much parity this year at the top. I cannot see any of the teams truly competing with Desales or Kings. I think Kings have the talent level to be a Sweet 16 contender. We'll see what happens though....

kate

Good morning, Roy - Coaches Donoghue & Richter would absolutely love you for that prediction - King's is truly always good - we'll just have to see if the Aggie squad can complement their three great seniors this year.  i can not wait - planning to make it a mini vacation in Selinsgrove next month.  Good luck to the Lady Royals in the new league - hope the league give you lots of GREAT competition, after all that's what it's all about!

Just the most crappy sports week of the year to date - The Rockies falling behind in the series 2 - 0, Boston College winning in the final 2 and a half minutes of play, my Aggies losing in a heartbreaker to Widener last night, & now, Rutgers going down to West Virginia today.  How about a great looking roster for our Women's b'ball Aggies, & hurrying up November l7th?  GO AGGIES!!!

kate

Ever so slowly rosters are appearing on school's websites.  FDU, King's, & Manhattanville minus freshmen are up.  CAN NOT wait to see Del Val's!  Sure hope everyone stays healthy through practices & scrimmages.  GO AGGIES!

kate

O.K., Wilkes roster is up, & Kirby Lutz, '07 grad & star player at DeSales is an assistant - neat!

kate

Del Val's roster is up as of last night - looks good, interesting (Jen McCarty will be back on the court) and exciting.  Jen has a year of eligibility left after tearing her ACL her sophomore year, and we have our three great seniors, Brooke, Moira, and Shannon back in action.  Along with six newcomers we should be ready to roll.  One of the new players is Jessica Ruvolis from Wm Allen HS in Allentown - i know she was a good player for the high school, & we're anxious to see them all play in Selinsgrove next Saturday!

kate

Congratulations to the MAC players named to the D3 Hoops preseason All American team, Messiah's Nikki Lobach, & King's Andrea Hochstul!  Five more days til we get to see our all American team, the Aggies!  Come on fellow MAC posters - it's time to start talkin b'ball!!!

kate

Boy, i really hope that everyone else on this board comes on here after the first games this weekend.  Can not wait to see who the Aggies have in the fifth starting position after Brooke, Moira, Shannon, & Kim, &, in general, can't wait to see all the Del Val supporters,  coaches, & players!  Selinsgrove, here we come!  Go Aggies!!!
