August is a great month - Pre-season rankings on the MAC web site for the fall sports, & fall sport rosters popping up every day - GO AGGIES!!!

 I usually don't post on here but I wanted the readers of the MAC section to know that our number one fan - Kate - has been selected by the Delaware Valley College Hall of Fame Committee to receive this year's Fan Appreciation Award.

Kate will be honored as part of our Hall of Fame ceremony (which will include the induction of former women's basketball great Jeanne Waznak) at halftime of our home football opener on Saturday, September 6.

As many of you know, Kate has attended nearly every Aggie home and away game since the late 1990's when she read a feature on Jeanne Waznak that ran in the Morning Call. She attended our next game after the story came out, talked to head coach Laura Hogan, Jeanne and some of the others at the game and has been a fan ever since.  To me, the fact that she is just simply an Aggie fan and has no family or employment ties to DVC is what makes her one of the best Division III fans out there.

So please join me in congratulating Kate on receiving this award.

Thanks, Old Ends - glad you're home safe & sound!  While i'm on here - GO PHILS!  At the risk of teeing off Lefty Two (i think that's his name), when people over the last nine years would ask us "which one is your daughter?", i always wanted to say actually none of them is related, but i wish they were all our daughters (sorry Lefty).
