Hello, Grove - ALWAYS rooting for the MAC - that's me  ;)

TheGrove

I have fond memories of the MAC... just couldn't resist some good-natured ribbing.  :)

Old Ends...I am sure Kate will enjoy it...but I just read it and enjoyed it thoroughly.  Thanks for forwarding to us.  Great article on what these coaches go thru on a yearly basis.

Great article, Old Ends - i skimmed it this morning & will print it out later today.  Thank you!  It does seem that D3 coaches have more & more responsibilities, especially with the popularity of the sport on the increase.  Let's face it, though it shouldn't always be the case, a school's sports record does influence many people.  On a similar note, Cedar Crest College, not known as a b'ball powerhouse, has a freshmen phenom from Ohio who helped them win their opening tourney.  That should bring a few more fans into their gym  :)  Thanks, again!

Kate,

I think you may have dropped the first Cedar Crest reference ever on this site.

Or any site for that matter.
The person who says something can't be done shouldn't stand in the way of the one who's doing it.

Susquehanna takes out another old MAC foe, Wilkes, 62-50 in Selinsgrove... sorry Kate.  :)

You are a riot, Grove - it looks like you've got my number  :).  i was thinking this morning how much better the women's game has gotten over the last ten years that we've been following the sport.  The level of competition, attendance, talk about the game - everything.  That's what it's all about after all, since most of these kids will be doing other things after graduation.  It gives the good high school player four more years to do what they love.  It's great that more & more people are appreciating them.

TheGrove

Thanks, I'm here all week... try the veal, it's great.  :)

I have to agree with you (although I confess I've been around it a bit longer). Last night there was a pretty good crowd in O.W. Houts - much better than I expected for a mid-week night game. There were three or four different Facebook events set up encouraging people to come out. It's about time the women started getting some support too!

PS - in the interest of fair and balanced reporting, albeit from the men's side of things -  Kate, you'll be happy to know King's beat Susquehanna (in OT) in the championship game of the Tip-Off Tournament today...

Greetings all - first time using a laptop.  Happy, safe Thanksgiving!  Was a little upset with the DeSale's loss last night (i wanted the Aggies to be the first ones to beat em this season  8), but Moravian held on for the win.  BEST luck to the Widener Pride tonight as they take on Neuman!  Should probably be posting this on the Colonial League site, but look out for Marywood this year - you, too, Aggies.  They have several good solid players on that squad.
