Finsleft, I trust you will be bringing your card table along again so we have more space to set out the food. Anyone else who has a table, please bring it along.
Heading out to Plato, MN this evening. Rumor has it this is the intellectual capital of Minnesota given the name. See everyone tomorrow morning. Be there or be square.

You'd probably have more fun in Play-Doh, MN.

The table's in the rig. See you by the Prep School.

One of my coworkers is an Ole. He graduated in '99 and played football. He just left for the weekend and snuck in a "Go Oles!" on the way out. I now have Monday's lunch riding on this game. I didn't even have to give points. Go Johnnies!
Shoes......was he drunk when he made the bet or perhaps he has the Mad Cow Disease ;D
Sounds like his weight and his IQ are shockingly far apart for an Ole.

I even asked if he wanted me to give some points. He said that straight-up was just fine. *shrug* No matter how the game turns out, Monday will be an interesting day.

Fins, I have no comment on that part. ;)
Nice day, huh?

Fins, how did you get up to 41 Karma points?  Have you been sucking up to Pat?  Well, I'm out, see you all in the morning.

Copy of Gagliardi of St. John's and The Rule of St. Benedict (in English) on the desk
Promise of a proxy pop from a red cup from ROR at Stiftungfestivities

Orville Redenbacher pop-corn?
57-I got my SJU flag, stuffed Rat and Perfect Season Banner. I think we got it all covered.

57Johnnie

Thanks ZIP. Had to check but I've got two packs of Orville Redenbacher left. That should be enough since I'm hoping for lights out shortly after the second half begins.

57 and Zip,

What about my reserved seat? It's a $3 chair I got from Goodwill last year, but it's still a reserved seat is it not?

Here's what I got ready/ will have by kickoff:

Large comfortable headphones so Mrs. KR cans still study in between me interrupting her with updates.
Large SJU flag that I "found" at the Stagg Bowl on the wall behind me
SJU and CSB diplomas on the wall to my right
SJU desk calendar to the right of my laptop
SJU sweatshirt ready to put on for game time
2003 National Champs hat ready to wear complete with the score that my mom stitched into it
Hangover courtesy of Halloween Party tonight
Thesaurus near desk so I can come up with 18 different synonyms for Monkey Stomp
3 Rally beers in the fridge in case of emergency
and my SIGNED copy of The 2003 book by Frank the Tank

I'm a St. Olaf student who is looking forward to what I hope will be a good game tommorow.  I've heard quite a few good things about the gameday atmosphere at St. John's and am glad for the opportunity to experience it in person (even as an opposing fan).  I was wondering if there were any specific security rules at Clemens Stadium (such as restrictions on backpacks and so forth).

Thank you,

OleGriz

OleGriz,

The atmosphere at Clemens is second to none in my experience with football at any level. I like to think SJU fans are pretty cordial and welcoming provided you aren't a Tommie. Be sure to get to the stadium relatively early and throw a blanket down on the visitor stands to save yourself a seat, the small bleachers over there will likely fill in quickly.

They aren't real strict on security at the games, lots of people bring in blankets and stuff to sit on the hill so I don't think you'd have any problem getting a backback in.

Make sure you bring your student ID, they may or may not ask for it when you get your ticket, but it will save you a couple bucks.

Bring the beverage of your choice with you to SJU, the concession stands charge a ton and its usually not cold. Definitely bring your own booze in a pop bottle if that's your thing.

All first time SJU visitors are required to make an initial entrance donation of one 30-pack of Hamm's. Please place said beverages along the fence at the southeast corner of the field and write "To Finsleft with love." on it.

Enjoy the game!

Sorry KR-we do need your in-depth analysis, along with the miscellaneous medical term.  ;)

KR - The rally beers work best if they are Leinies. How come not a rat sweat?

Does anybody have AOs phone # in case we ned an emergency rally?  Never mind - that won't be necessary - may need it for the Wildcat game.

I think we're ready.

I hope they have enough Simonize ready at Clemens. Too hard to apply from where I live.

Recent college grads and current med students don't have a budget to be choosy about their gameday attire.

Bottom line, if mom and dad didn't buy it for me and it was for sale at the bookstore, I don't have it.

I'm off to drink beer of sub-Hamm's quality see you all at 1300 CDT!!!

I'm starting the festivites down at the U tomorrow morning then traveling up to SJU once all the Gopher hopefulls head into the worst college football stadium on the planent.  Of course I'll be at one of the best!!

Hopefully I can make to the 'fest by 12:00 to meet you all.  If not, I'll see you all at the SJU/USTD game...that's right (University of Sexually Transmitted Diseases)

Cheers,

Bizzle

P.S.  None of my co-workers would bet on the SJU game, as they have no idea what DIII football is all about.  However I was able to get a bet out of some OSU fan that Roney will get 100 yards rushing...looks like I got a $20 spot coming may way  ;)
