QuoteYou can work your tail off this summer, but there's a good chance you still won't see the field.

Gotta love those words of encouragement from your coach!

Must be that load of Floridians that have pushed all the Minnesotans out of the lineup.  St. Olaf may be becoming Auggie Tech South Campus...

Happy 999 MIAC...PC should really have the honor of turning over the 1000th page, IMO.
SJU Champions 2003 NCAA D3, 1976 NCAA D3, 1965 NAIA, 1963 NAIA; SJU 2nd Place 2000 NCAA D3; SJU MIAC Champions 2018, 2014, 2009, 2008, 2006, 2005, 2003, 2002, 2001, 1999, 1998, 1996, 1995, 1994, 1993, 1991, 1989, 1985, 1982, 1979, 1977, 1976, 1975, 1974, 1971, 1965, 1963, 1962, 1953, 1938, 1936, 1935, 1932

SUMMIT!!!!!

Hopefully, this makes page 999, not 1000....I dont feel worthy of doing the honors on that one, but vote for KR or JR.

Belated happy 25th b-day JR (hey, if I claim I'm 24, you cant be much older)

Also, thanks for the hilarious yet sad story KR....it reminded me of when my compressor froze in Bolivia NC (pop 90) and I was at the mercy of Gomer, Goober & their father, a retired mechanic...The 3 of them combined maybe reached a triple digit IQ.
After the game, the king and pawn go into the same box.

My vote for page 1,000 is JR, aka "The Godfather."

My last post until the page turns over.

Wonka, have you actually seen Pensacola? Why WOULDN'T a player want to come to the MIAC? Reasons to  come to Minnesota instead of Florida to attend school and play football:
1. Not humid 11 months of the year
2. Educational system in Florida is bad. Maybe you want to improve yourself.
3. Don't have to worry about fights in the stands during the game while racial slurs rain down on you
4. Drugs and crime are rampant in Florida.
5. No hurricanes in Minnesota (yet)
6. No D3 football of note in Florida.
I tip my hat to guys willing to relocate across the country to achieve their dreams.
BTW, if you look at the Ole starters, I think you will find that the vast majority are Minnesotans. Maybe MN high school football is pretty good after all!

Uh oh, Wonka, looks like you set off oldtimefan!  My thought?  They're not good enough to play ball in Florida.

Interesting morning in traffic court. A woman has a seizure and collapses, resulting in a 911 call (where is KR when we need him?). Then one of the defendants has on a t-shirt with the following on the back: My drinking team has a softball problem.  :D

Speaking of traffic court, I've got to tell this story.  Had to take my 16 year old son to traffic court for a speeding ticket once. (I think the cop wanted him to learn a lesson)   I insisted he dress in proper attire, (shirt and tie) to show respect for the court.  After watching a few cases waiting for them to call his name, my son leans over to me and whispers in my ear....."I think the judge is blind!"  Sure enough, he was.  After our laughing fit, I told him that I was sure that the asistant would tell the judge how good he looked!  ;D
"Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!"  Dennis Miller

"Three things you don't want to be in football, slow, small and friendly!"  John Madden

"You can learn more character on the two-yard line than anywhere else in
life." Paul Dietzel / LSU

... they're not good enough to play in MN either, at least that's what 63-9 says to me.

I agree on JR taking us onto page 1000.

4 more posts on this page after mine then 1000!
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

I guess the importance of 1000 is scaring everyone away!

Only 3 more posts after this one until JR's big post! I'm sure he's deep in the confines of his office writing up something very profound to drop on us.

JR,
Would you please step to the podium to take us onto the land of 4 digit pages where everything tastes like Hamm's, Tommie Fairies dance, and TDT waits by the phone nightly for calls that never come?

I'm sure that his mom calls nightly to see if she needs to put any money put into his bank account.

Sorry to steal the thunder from JR, but

HAPPY 1000 PAGES MIAC BOARD!!!

Now that the ice is broken. I thought for sure you'd put up this link, courtesy of Wooderson. The good stuff, as he says, comes after the Spam...

Congratulations to all of you for your 1,000 pages of collective wisdom.

Here, have some k+ake.

P.S. Tommies suck!

I thought about posting Wood's link, but figured that he might take the opportunity to post it himself (what was I thinking?).  Also, I don't quite share the affinity for Hamm's that you do.

Well, the 63-9 score and the success of SJU on the national stage proves my point about MN football. You don't necessarily need out of state players to win football games. I'm just saying that if the MIAC is as good as we all think it is (and deep down, really know for sure), then we shouldn't be surprised that players from outside the area would want to come here.
