SUMMIT!!!!!

Congrats on 1000 pages of Hamms, Anna, jokes, TDT rippings and occasional football conversation!

speaking of football conversation, I wish I understood oldtimefan's last post so I could disagree with it  :)

I am so sorry I missed setting the 1000 page record. Too embroiled in reading about the installation of individual sewage treatment systems in rural Carver County. :P At least I know sh-t when I see it.

Hopefully I can retain my "Godfather" status on the MIAC board and continue to establish those great relationships with our friends all across the country who love D3 football. Believe it or not, that would even include the "enemies" from Bethel, Auggie Tech and Linfield.

Thanks to all of you for your friendship, wit and passion for d3 football. As always, the Stiftungsfest burgers are on me. All the Hamm's beer is on Finsleft.

And Kiltedrat worked soooo hard setting the stage for you and beginning the fanfare!!! I suspected there was a flaw in his plan when I checked back a page or two and you weren't online at the time! ;D ;D ;D I was too afraid to post a warning to him for fear I would be the first one posting on page 1000.  A non-MIACer doing it would be intolerable!!  :D

An Anna tri-fecta. Damn, I wish I could make these bigger.

Happy #1000 MIACPP!!

Just had to be part of another historic event.

That makes 500 on NWC and 250 on WIAC I believe in the last week. The stars must be lining up for ......

I won't say it.

But you know what I'm thinkin'.
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

...another 24-6 SJU victory over MUC(k) in the Stagg?
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

Congrats board on 1000! Forgot to post this past weekend that I drove by the stadium at Macalester. The turf/field looks beautiful. The blue and orange MC stand out nicely.

Funny story: I was reading the Minnesota High School Football Coaches Association's Hall of Fame booklet from their ceremony in early April. Former Hamline coach Dick Tressel was honored. In his family listings, it had two sons and one daughter, Lyla, 26. Lyla would be Gopher football WR coach Luke Tressel. His dad pulled a fast one on him he told me at a recent Gopher practice.

My grandmother is over eighty and still doesn't need glasses. Drinks right out of the bottle.  (Yasmine Bleeth comment valid unless prohibited by your College's code of ethics for Alums)

You have it part right there KR.

The Raiders are in the Stagg Bowl but walking off with:

Number 9
Number 9
Number 9
Number 9
Number 9
Number 9
Number 9
Number 9
Number 9

So say the Beatles!

The only thing I can't see is the latest victim!

Any volunteers?
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

johnnyadmit,

I do hope TDT finds his boy (man) of his dreams.

And I do hope Hamms comes back in a 30 pack.

And I am looking forward to football in MN again!!!!

And I do congratulate John on his induction to the Hall of Fame. I had a nice conversation with him at the kickoff luncheon. He shared a story about the President of Mount Union visiting St. Johns while he was traveling through MN on vacation this summer. That was pretty cool.
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

Afterall, it's getting close to the time when football talk may overshadow all the other crap that we talk about ;D
Say it ain't so, Duff!  :D

Welcome home (or at least back to Iowa) KR.

On my way home from Alexandria yesterday, traffic on I94 was backed up to a stop all the way to Albany. Freeway was wet and a westbound car hydroplaned and crossed over the median into eastbound traffic. Fins, Jr. was almost late for his 2:30 shift at the info desk, despite leaving before noon.  Jr. reports that there are cars hydroplaning all the time causing accidents on both sides of the Collegeville exit.
So, especially if it's wet out, drive carefully near SJU.
If I only had a lightning detector...

You better check, junior, Fins - the info desk was MIA.  There's a sign on the wall where it used to be but no desk and no info.  Maybe they moved it to Tommy Hall.

We saw the traffic backed up on Sunday - pushing all the eastbound traffic off at St. John's.  You should have stopped by to watch practice.

He had a cut down earlier this summer for the first time - Joe Tocchini ('97 I think - another SF guy) saw it when he visited about a month ago (he didn't know what it was at the time) and then some of the parents told us about it this weekend.

What do you mean by "he had a cut down" tmerton?

Glad you enjoyed yourself.  What did you end up finding to do in MN?

Some of the freshman apparently were told they had to come to tryouts and some were cut.   :(

You must've been in Sexton. They closed that one a while ago. Fins, Jr. is on the "A" team in the Great Hall, following in the footsteps of Duffman, Wooderson and many other esteemed alums.

Good thing I brought the blankies to the hotel or t.m. jr. would be sleeping on a mattress tonight.

I'll probably get smitted down to 90 but here's what happened over the weekend.

Flying these days is challenging.  Mrs. Tmerton got to the airport only to realize she had left all her ID at home.  She was sent packing back home (if she didn't make it then at least #2 son and I would - but I soon realized it was a mistake to split up).  She made it back in time so in the end, except for the $133 parking bill becasue she parked in short term parking when she came back, it worked out okay.

Took them to Mall of America to see Mickey and see of they wanted to spend some $$.  Fortunately, they were restrained.  We then met a friend of my wife's at the Grand Lodge for dinner - she wanted to show us the MN water works I guess (Kahn's will have to wait, unfortunately - it would have been a much better deal).  Lots of fat people running around inside in bathing suits at 8 pm for my taste.

Mrs. tmerton and #2 son slept in the next morning so we were late leaving.  Saw a couple of the lakes - very nice - but none of the MIAC bretherens' football stadia or the Carver County Fair (thanks, JR - and belated Happy Birthday).  A better tour will have to wait.

Saturday afternoon we arrived at SJU.  Check-in was a gas.  First job is to pick your helmet, which gets checked and "topped off" with an air pump check.  Once it's determined to fit the players have to put on their numbers, the stripe and their names on the front.  As noted previously, some are better at it than others.  Then get fitted for shoulder pads and get your locker.

#2 son is in Mary but his key didn't work.  Just like the military - SNAFU.  Life Safety had to come and lock and unlock the room - #2 son finally just left the room open (and which one of you has his radio?)  We called him tonight and he still doesn't have his key!

Sunday was Mass, timing for the 40, pictures and practice.  #2 son rolled his ankle "running tires" at his high school the week before so it was still sore and his 40 was a little slow but still under 5.0.  Practice was good to watch - 190 kids all engaged and focused.  They got right to business, O in red, D in white and then broken down into groups.  Rusty, yes, but pretty damn good for rusty.  Yes, Duff, there are a lot of linebackers!  Must be 30 on the team.

It rained most of Sunday but today was cool and crystal clear.  All the red and white down on the field for morning practice was a sight.

Flew back to the Left Coast next to a 98 SJU grad whose brother was an AA and Johnnie.  Johnnies are everywhere.  K to all.

"A while ago"?  ???  It was there in April!  Plus the sign's still up.

Too damn hot for blankets - but thanks  - there was way more than needed in the package Mrs. tmerton bought but we knew that.  Grazie.
