Nobody asked me, but I just want to go on record as saying you are all a bunch of a-holes. Every last one of you.

Love you too.
How are things atop the Pioneer League?
Sing us a song, you're the piano man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, we're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feelin' alright.

Enjoyable. Big test this week.

ORV in the Top 25 (Coaches Poll fwiw) is fun and good for PR but anyone who watched us against Southern Utah knows we've got a loooooong way to go before actually sniffing the door of being an actual Top 25 team.

When are you eligible for the Pioneer AQ?  UST will take that with ease.

2026 I think?
Although hearing some rumblings that changes in the NCAA constitution could make that 2024.
Making the trip to Valparaiso in a couple weeks with the 2 oldest, double header with a Notre Dame-Clemson game followed by a Monday night basketball game in Omaha vs Creighton.

Mate, that doesn't even come close to the shadow of a 'Vette.  Try harder.

Has it been determined if The Pioneer League is the final stop for UST or a launching pad for another football conference?
Any more land acquisitions in the neighborhood planned to build athletic facilities?
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Ice Bear

Ice Bear says he'd give up eating seals for the opportunity to dry hump the timing device used to determine the TOP winner of any given football game...it's that ****ing valuable. Ice recently heard ESPN is working on a TOP 30 for 30 entitled, "TOP on the Gridiron and Beyond:Nothing Else Matters (cue the Metallica song for the intro)." He also heard there is a key interview with Michael Jordan about the time he bet Jeremy Roenick 1 million $ taking the TOP under, for a Springfield Pride (notorious East Region Triple Option team and the self-declared king of mother****ing TOP) game against the likes of a New England foe that only had a part time defensive coordinator who focused only on pass defense. Ice will keep you all abreast of this 30 for 30 development.

Ice is OK with the Royals finishing up against Olaf the ****ing snowman and those Auggies of Augsburg. Ice feels this is a positive opportunity for many of the top Royals to chill a tad and get healthy. Ice says after saying that **** his thoughts also parallel those of hazzzzzzz in regards to wanting to have some type of real tune up heading into the MIAC Championship. Ice has seen over the many years he's watched D3 ball a fresh team that hasn't been tested lately get bitch slapped harder than a TOP doubter should come playoff time. Ice likes that middle sweet spot. Solid competition, healthy roster, and positive battle tested momentum heading into the playoffs (who the **** doesn't like that Ice asks? Don't answer that...).

A long time fan of DIII Football!

Nobody knows. Might be schemes and desires but it's all very long range.
Nothing beyond Ford Plant/railroad spur for baseball, softball, and indoor training facilities of some sort. Hockey likely on south campus.

I caught a lot of flak on Twitter last week for taking a jab at the TomToms.  Even some random Drake fan jumped in to tell me that, "Usually D3 fans know their place and stay tf away y'all should do that."  You'd think the Pioneer League was the SEC or something.  ::)

A tradition unrivaled...

The Toms are dominating the Pioneer in their second season.  That's a very high-quality conference they have there.

Also, no way the Toms stay.  Three years of grabbing the AQ and they move up a FCS level.  Faster if they somehow manage to win a playoff game while in the Pioneer.  So by 2029 is my call, assuming they don't get access to the post-season sooner.

Redtooth

With all the TOP talk I thought I would add this tidbit that was making the rounds on IG earlier today:

Tennessee is 121st out of 131 teams nationally in time of possession, but the Vols are 1st Nationally in Total Offense (571.7 yards per game) and scoring (50.1 points per game).

On a side note, I met the booster behind the Carleton Football renewal activities while in Alaska fishing a couple weeks ago and he believes with Journell and the enhancements they want to make moving forward that they will be able to compete for championships....time will tell, but the guy is a great guy with a big vision...he has a great coach and they don't lack for big money donors.

That dude just likes to be involved in sh*t-stirring. He had a little back and forth with the UST folks previously.

tbf, your post was objectively wrong. But I wouldn't let that stop you.

The whole CFB/FCS landscape is so volatile I don't have any desire to make predictions. The real tests will be whether we can compete (not even win, necessarily) in games the next several years against the likes of Harvard, SoDak, UNI again, Idaho, NDSU, UND. Winning is fun, but competitive games (outside of 1 or 2 a year and then the playoffs) are a lot more enjoyable.
