Haven't posted in years but Pat wiped out 20+ years of Bluenote because he cussed, was political incorrect and said something about a bodily function.... And I doubt he was warned 50 times.... Maybe Pat needs to lighten up and not be such a room monitor like in grade school... there are plenty of posts I've seen that could be considered worse. Hope Pat reconsiders his actions.

That seems like an over-simplification, a little like when a kid says he got kicked out of class for taking another kids pencil but fails to mention the other 9 things he did before that to disrupt the learning environment.  Like I said earlier, I'm pretty new here, and I'm sure Pat and the people that run this board don't need me to defend them, but in the 20 or so posts I read many were a combination of argumentative, belittling, sarcastic and condescending.  I don't know if he was just trying to be the Don Rickles of the D3 football forums but it seemed over the top at times and unnecessarily mean at others.  As to whether he actually got 50 warnings, maybe not...but if got one that's plenty where I come from.
Now to be clear, he never personally bothered me, largely because I spend part of my day in a world where his comments would be considered mild and even gentle by comparison...but I'm not running the board just enjoying it.

Nope. Someone who has been warned and suspended multiple times in 20 years has had his chances. Plenty. But thanks for posting after 13-plus years to register that opinion.

He's actually a pretty good guy.  I don't think he has any ill intent, just likes to get a rise out of people.  Too frequently crossed the line and I understand Pat running out of patience with him.

On the contrary, I think Pat should ban all of the Linfield posters. Guilt by association and all that.

I'll second that.  He bought me a bottle of rum after Linfield beat SJU that one time.

Sometimes the online persona overshadows a guy's true character.  Contrary to what Pat may say, I'm a pretty alright guy in person.  :o

The Superbowl is officially over...so I guess it's about time for the "Way too early" predictions for next year...What do the posters from the MIAC think about next year?

Hazzben - Can the Royals make waves on the national stage with a new QB?

Anyone with Johnnie in their handle - Do the Johnnies join North Central as the new "Red Powers" on the national stage? How does Larson follow up an outstanding year at TE?

Anyone else - Does a Gustavus, Concordia, or Augsburg make a MIAC championship game appearance or is it just Bethel and St Johns again this year?  Has Carlton turned a corner or was last year a blip on the radar?

Your ARC neighbors want to know who we'll have to play in the first couple of rounds of the playoffs in next years "budget friendly" bracket.
Not trying to start anything, just curious what the consensus is.

No.  Bethel goes in cycles.  I think they'll have a couple "down" years while they groom a new QB.  And by down year, I think still think they'll be better than any MIAC team not named SJU.

Joining North Central would be a tremendous task.  I think SJU'll be good, but they'll need to establish a ground game if they want to go anywhere in the playoffs.  Larson will be a terror.

I don't envision anyone other than SJU and BU in the title game at any point in the near future.  I think Carleton will continue to be successful as their coaching staff seems to have a strategy that works for their situation, but I don't see them threatening for a MIAC title.

The OLine was unexpectedly a non-influence this year.  I look at the game notes and didn't realise they lost three starters, including the center, so I guess I should have expected a drop off.  This year will be interesting as we lose both tackles to graduation.  Or at least they were seniors and we could be losing them.  The interior line all returns so maybe we'll have some more run punch this coming season.
