No doubt the Johnnies need to improve their interior line play on both sides of the ball, but I haven't heard much about the penalties.  Ten penalties, and over half were on third and long or fourth down extending Augsburg drives leading to scores.  Absolutely need to be more disciplined.

And at one point the Augie announcers were whining about the refs favoring SJU.

I don't know the features that a video camera has these days, if the Augie camera was remote controlled or by someone in the booth, but there's gotta be a way to zoom the lens if you can turn the camera, yes?

MIAC offers a standard "platform" for the conference games but doesn't have any "standards" for the quality of the video. They should come up with something.

My Mrs. asked if that was the video that Augie uses to review its play in the game, and I thought that was a good question too, if that is what they use for their game review - whoa.

I'm aware there are cameras that don't require an operator. They essentially are designed to follow the movement on the field. I think Concordia uses something similar...I know they use it for basketball. The video is painful to watch because the camera seems to drift back and forth with the movement on the field.

Cobs had luck running the ball the last two weeks...not so much in games 1 and 2. My guess is that they will game plan to run the ball...why wouldn't they when we gave up 170 to the Auggies. Hoping that Jerry, Dummo and Novak can make some adjustments and maybe find someone that can clog things up on the line of scrimmage.

Cooper Mattern had 144 against Carleton and 94 against the Saints. Not sure how many of the rushes are designed.

It also looks like Kidder did not play. Assuming injuries or illness, Bethel has been dealt an unfortunate hand trying to get their offense in rhythm.

Kidder did not suit up against Gusties. Carryover from Johnnies game I believe. You nailed it SJU13, rotating starting QB's, RB1 goes out in 1st half of game 1, losing Kidder for 1.5 games so far, etc.

Also, talk about heartbreak for the Gusties. Back to back tough losses to end the game. Sitting 1-3 and could easily be 3-1.

Had the same thought about the Gusties...they would easily be eying a trip to the conference championship game, if not for two plays....  Tough to stomach where they're sitting right now, I'm sure.

Do you know if Nate Farm is out for the season?

I suspect GAC is still eyeing a trip to the conference championship.  They don't have any Northwoods losses yet, and seeing how both they and the Johnnies have played the same competition they probably feel feel they have a decent chance to still get there.

And how a team with two conference losses has a path to the a conference championship game is silly.

Great story. Such good news for Bill.

Sporting events, especially something as enclosed as a basketball arena, are among the better places to have a medical event. I have a friend who was told the nearby help of NBA docs was the only reason he made it.
