Correct -- this.

Quote from: SagatagSam on November 14, 2024, 09:29:14 AMSJU Game Notes with an explanation regarding noon kickoff:

"The conference recently moved this Saturday's (Nov. 16) games - MIAC Championship Week - to noon kickoffs (from 1 p.m.). Since the NCAA Championships were moved back by one week a few years ago, combined with sundown occurring around 4:45 p.m., an earlier kickoff will provide more time to complete games without the risk of playing in darkness or facing late-fall weather challenges. Additionally, this start time aligns with the NCAA Championships' noon kickoff, a standard the conference often aims to replicate when possible. Nov. 16 is the latest possible date for the final regular-season game. The change is only for the final 2024 game of the regular season, as coaches will discuss game times during their annual business meeting."

The dates of first-round playoff games have not changed in the 30 years I've been covering Division III football.

That's impossible, Pat.  At the very least, the year had to change.  ;)

:) It's always been the Saturday before Thanksgiving. It's just Thanksgiving that moves around. It's the same dates as 2013 and 2019.

We played at 11 last Saturday, worked out great.  Would be fun for every conference to play 1 game a week early that everybody else in the conference could follow while they wait for their game to start.

Quote from: RoyalsFan on October 25, 2022, 04:55:55 PMOk, I see that my comments here are no longer welcome and I am not going to participate when I am criticized for every comment I make. I am done with this board - don't need the aggravation. Hasta la vista.

And I thought (hoping) maybe some would mellow out after a couple of years. Guess I was wrong. And what is your problem? Guess you are part of the problem.

I don't have a problem.  I think the way you come on here and constantly get into disagreements about the most trivial of shyte is really annoying....but, problems?  No, not really.

And to be clear - you thought that though you're the one always having disagreements....that everyone else needed to mellow?   :o

Best of luck to you.

Win or lose how likely is it that SJU gets a bye? Looking at making some plans for Saturday the 23rd.
Wondering if I should wait until after the game this Saturday.

SJU should have a bye either way I believe.

Looking at how St John's struggled with the Cobbers, whereas Bethel did not whatsoever, should Johnnie fans be more concerned than usual going into Saturday? How motivated is St John's? No doubt Bethel knows what their chances are of a postseason berth if they falter on Saturday.
