Concordia always (almost?) gives SJU a stiff test.  Score comparisons can be misleading.
SJU has a good aura going into this.

A tradition unrivaled...

Glad the weather is looking good for tomorrow!  Sometimes inclement weather can be an interesting twist, but a marquee matchup, I prefer it not to be a battle of who can overcome the conditions.

Kissed of death for the Johnnies: Both Frank and Baker of "Inside the D3 (East) Huddle" pick SJU over a Royals team led by "Drew Cooper."

Chanhassen quarterback is a junior named Nathan Ramler. Anyone know if he's related to Kurt or Mike?

Was wondering the same thing.

I'm afraid that Iron Mike is over the hill.  It's start of the fifth round and I reckon he's stopped here.  No Blakley story for Mike, I'm afraid.

EDIT:  Nope. He made it through the fifth.  Well, I don't see how he lasts five more.  We'll see.  Maybe there will be a good old man story after all.

EDIT: Only eight rounds.  Just two to go.  Iron Mike may give Gen X a win after all.

EDIT: No win but he went the distance, which given how tired he looked after three rounds that's quite an achievement.

Absolutely agree that NC is #1...not sure i would put BU and SJU that high. Both need to get past the second round of the playoffs before I'd put them that high.

Really hoping St John's looks like a team that could potentially go all the way today! Will be interesting to see how close the teams are! For instance, has one improved more than the other over the course of the season, etc?

We look like we've been playing JV teams for the last month .

What an amazing game. These two sides are GOOD.  Three points:

1. BU is soo good. Very balanced and excellent on both sides of the ball. The NCAA should put us in different brackets so we don't meet again until the final. It would be game of the finals.

2. SJU's defense wins the award for most improved this season. They played a fantastic game.

3. Syverson is a superstar with a platinum arm.

Congratulations to the Johnnies on their 37th conference title! Bethel was a formidable foe & will do some damage in the playoffs! I second the sentiment above hoping we're in different brackets!

BU should move up in the rankings despite losing. They are a top 15 team. Maybe higher.
