Without the turnovers I think bethel might have won or sju on the final drive, but would have been different game-but Sju did what they needed to do.
If bethel plays Wartburg in first round they could very well win.

I'm still not sold on the Johnnies. Not much of a running game and had too much trouble with the blitz. I'll eat crow if wrong but i think we win one playoff game...depends on the draw.

I'm sold!  That offense is really, really good with Seyverson at the helm.  Congrats to SJU- good health for the playoffs!

I was impressed with SJU's Hoyt today.  Only a freshman, he made some great plays on balls to Kidder. (edit: I just looked at stats, and Kidder had 13 catches.  I didn't seem like it, to me.)

Niewald sure had a day!

Can Drews transfer back after this season?  :'(

Playmakers all over the place, great game. Bracket will be interesting, looks like SJU could get Lake Forest as its 2 seed, that'd be a great draw.

Quote from: OzJohnnie on November 16, 2024, 04:16:10 PMBU should move up in the rankings despite losing. They are a top 15 team. Maybe higher.

If beating the snot out of opponents doesn't move the needle maybe a smaller margin of defeat against a top 5 team will  ;)

Passing attack had a few uncharacteristic drops and overthrown balls while still managing to sling it for over 400 yards, 5 tds, and no picks.

Matt Jung is not real.

Looking forward to the madness that'll be this playoffs

Yeah, I was thinking that Aaron was having an off day (and I still think it was a sub-par day for him), but most QBs would love a stat line like that.

I'm glad to be done with this championship game crap.  Gary mentioned it in the post game--in reality, both of these teams played a playoff game today, and it was a physical battle with a number of injuries.  I hope both teams can recover and get healthy for playoffs.

How bad is the ECFC if their champ is 167th in NPI?

But because BU played NW earlier this year, I'm guessing BU gets LaCrosse and Northwestern gets sent to Coe. Also, I didn't check out those Texas teams to see who has played each other already this year.

Hmmmm - these two sites don't agree on who is in the tourney and who is not:

NCAA: https://stats.ncaa.org/season_divisions/18386/selection_rankings/current_rankings

datacast: https://d3datacast.com/npi/football/

I used the NCAA stats in my posts above.
