If it's just cold (so long as its not single digits or below zero), I think that's fine.
If it's cold and windy, then that could definitely make for some problems.

It will cost the price of an ESPN+ subscription, which is slightly less and covers a lot more content. Perhaps you already subscribe?

Are all the games on ESPN+? Including those this weekend? Who announces the games?

From what I read a week or two ago, yes, all the games are on ESPN+, and they're relying on the host schools for cameras, announcers, etc.

This is the same as ESPN+ for college basketball. A subscription gets you all the games for D3 playoffs and you can browse til your hearts content to watch over 300 college basketball teams on ESPN+. As mentioned, all of these broadcasts utilize the home schools' announcers, cameras etc. You can also watch all of ESPN's original content. Not that I'm advertising for them.....

So will we get VOJ? I can't imagine ESPN+ is going to allow WBHR's ad readouts on their broadcast.

Could we get a parallel broadcast from somewhere else?

Maybe Anthony LaPanta comes back to call a game?

ESPN is coming full circle. When they were first getting started in the late 1970s, they went to all the small schools in New England and along the Atlantic Coast and gave airspace in exchange for the schools handling most of the production work. ESPN and the Big East Conference basically grew up together.

Now, ESPN has been bleeding subscribers for over a decade. I hope the D3 playoffs works well for them. It would be nice to be able to watch all of the playoff games from around the country in one place.

Duffman, don't get soft in your old age and stay home to watch from the comfort of your couch...get you and your family bundled up and attend in person, we need all the fans we can get for the playoffs.  I am always amazed when SJU fans will show up for a bottom feeder during the regular season and then stay home when good teams show up for the playoffs.  I know the weather always plays a role, but home field in the playoffs should matter.  Hell, people came in large numbers to watch you and the defense shut down Freddie Jackson of Coe back in 2002 and it was bitterly cold that day...maybe 0.

Soft?  You should know that a little snow and cold doesn't slow down the Duff clan.  The problem is that we just found out that junior has a wrestling tournament that day.

I don't think it's an overreaction...cold weather and passing games don't mix well. Cold weather and wind is even worse.

I guess we might as well not even play the game.  We're doomed.
