The people I talked with said NW played like it was reguar season and actually meant something while Hamline was working on new things  and at times it showed but overall it was pretty close.
Yeah, there's only so much you can judge from a scrimmage, but I'm glad the Eagles got up for it.  I mean, there's only so many times you get to play competitive football in your life.  The only other thing I heard was that our #1 receiver Kyle Thomforde playing on the punting team made a hit on the hamline returner, forced the fumble and took it back for a score.  Did the johnnies put Blake Elliot on the punting team as well?

FPM

Ok I am by no means a SJU apogist(sp) but come on you can't put BE and this Thomeforde same post like that I mean be real here.  Elliott is one of the top two recievers ever to play in the MIAC.

johnniepress

No, actually. Gagliardi put him at fullback in a flexbone formation and he ran for 136 yards in the West region semifinals.

By the way, the 2006 MIAC Media Guide and SJU Game notes are now posted on www.gojohnnies.com

*West Region finals. Oh yeah, and the majority of the carries were straight up the gut.

AO

I didn't intend to compare the accomplishments of the Blake Elliott with Thomforde.  I just hadn't heard of the wide receivers playing on the punting team as much.  And apparently, Blake didn't, so there you go.

now that you bring up elliot playing fullback, I'd like so see his run in the 2003 Stagg Bowl where he spun off the All American monster from Mount Union and took it for a score.  Elliott was a little hobbled during that game, wasn't he?

Anyone think that BE could take Chuck Norris down?   ;D

He might be able to take Chuck Norris down, but there's no way he could take Bill Brasky down.

"Bill Brasky was a 10 foot monster who slept with all our wives! And punched us all in the face! And we loved him for it!"

Hey fins, why next to your Posts does it say "leet".  ???

Or is that just me.  ???

No, me too. But I hesitate to post again for fear it might change. I'm starting to like it.
ROR- maybe I am the leet of this board? or this board is my leet? Of course I'm the leet of the PA.  8)

OK, here goes.....

Dammit, just as I suspected, the stoopid computer read "1337" as "leet" in leetspeak. Get it?

So, now we know. Who's the next member of the leet elite? I'm gonna throw you a leet party.

A new milestone has once again been created by the MLPP!

The "leet elite" Post 1337 Club is up and running.  :D

It's achievable by any poster in any conference and any sport.

This needs to be spread around D-3 dot com. and anytime someone makes the "leet elite" we bomb their board and it's karma grab-ass.  ;)

Ahhh, Bill Brasky.  I almost forgot about him!!!!  Bill Brasky is a son of a bitch.

To celebrate my new neet elite status, I'm going home to the Finsleft Gee-rodge to paint some windows, grill some brats, have a Hamm's, watch the Twins, all at the same time...as they say...developing...Brasky might be stopping over.
