Can someone update me on what they have said on TV about  Liriano?  I am at work and dying here.

All I know is that he left with elbow pain?
I didn't do it....yet.

btw....from the gamecast it looks like Garza has pitched himself out of a couple of jams by getting the k's when he needs them.

They aren't sure yet but it looks to be the same thing that happened before.  He threw a pitch in the dirt and it looked like he was in a lot of pain.  I doubt we will see him till next season.  Garza has looked great though

SOunds like the twinkies are going to shut Liriano down for the year. In my opinion thats a good idea. Like MM said hopefully they didnt ruin his arm by bringing him back to soon.

They are going to have to shut him down and re-work his delivery.  That slider is nasty but so is the stress on his arm.  He sometimes looks like a drunk throwing as hard as he can at a dunk tank......don't ask.

I thought it would have been smart to rest him until the playoffs started or if they needed him to pitch in late september.  Garza didn't look bad, but the twins got screwed on the play when an A's player stole 2nd.  He was clearly out, would have ended the inning and that's when the A's got there only run.

I woke up today to see Franny's no-no broken up and then heard him wreck his arm again as I poured my breakfast. Some days you just shouldn't get out of bed...
Fins jinxed him by talking about the no-no in the second inning.  :P
I knew somebody would call that one. It's easy from reading the board at what time I left the office. Last thing I did was check the game and post that. THen listening in the car it was, "OH MY GOD, I JINXED HIM!"
So, as long as I'm on a roll, Augsburg should win this weekend and I look for the Cobs and Bethel to tie this weekend, then each go undefeated the rest of the season.

Actually, blame the umps. The batter before Kielty was Swisher, I think, and Liriano threw a strike and he checked his swing, Redmond dropped the ball and was so sure it was a strike he picked it up and tagged him. Home plate ump TWICE asked field ump if he went and he said no. Next pitch was a Texas league single, then the pitch to Kielty.
Well Garza pitched well, but Haren was better today. Twinx are going to need Garza, Boof and Silva to pitch like they got a pair the rest of the way.

Drunk again. Everyone who thinks PC is cool, smite me. If you think otherwise, karma me.

Flash,

Drove through Janesville on my way home from Chicago last night.  I was on the lookout for an old formerly fat guy with a gray beard drinking from the trunk of a Cadillac.  Looks like I was a day early.   ;)

I go under the knife early tomorrow.  Might be MIA for a few days.  Please control your posting so I don't have to read 100 pages when I get back.  The drugs I will likely be on will make that difficult.

Thanks in advance.
