Also, I love the fact that I had 23 pages to sift through since Friday evening!  Wonderful!  Glad that I could share my "shotgunning skills" with some of you.  Girls only like guys with skills...

Take that, Meidt.

SJU fans- how many points would be resonable to give a co-worker on the Johnnie/Tommie game 11-12-05. He is asking for 24, I'm thinking that is not enough ;)

Looks like the Tommies have a new starting QB. Freshman David Sauer, who succeeded Alex Kofoed at Rocori was 23 of 32, 316 yds. passing, 3 TD's, 1 int. Granted, it was against the Gusties (sorry Frank, but you guys really suck this year). Anyway, looks like an interesting subplot to the game that may not otherwise be so interesting.

If the bet's for more than fifty bucks, give him a touchdown. If it's just lunch or a six-pack, give him 30.

Greatest. Ratpack entrance. Ever.

Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

Looks like Ritz is hurling. Isn't there a time requirement on how long you must keep it down?

fins - I was at the game and saw Sauer play Saturday. He looked very solid, even if the Gusties have made just about every quarterback look good this year. He's a pretty big guy and a good athlete - he had some nice runs. Many of his completions were because the GAC DBs got all twisted and turned around on deep balls and almost fell down (I wish I was kidding). The Tommie WRs made a lot of plays though, even when they were well covered.

It was another long day in a long season to be a GAC fan.

As a sidenote, apparently the GAC campus has been abuzz since Reusse wrote that little tidbit a few weeks back. I don't see any change coming, but he's certainly stoked any fire that might have been there.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

I can imagine. How about the Tommie's campus? Any buzz there, or is Sauer saving Roney's ass?

If so, that was 2002 & the Johnnies Rolled! 2003 was at UST & Keller scored all the points ???
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Okay Johnnie fans, I am asking for an unbiased opinion here.  Obviously you guys rolled STO, but what is the threat for the Cobbs this saturday? STO must have some ability if they only have one loss.

Ole fans, are your guys going to come out ready to go saturday, or are they pretty down after the whipping they received in Collegeville.

RB George Rogers, about the upcoming season:
"I want to rush for 1,000 or 1,500 yards, whichever comes first."

No, the unfurling of the "TOMMIES SUCK" banner in the UST stands (2002). Leaping over the railing and unveling our Johnnie red clothing while the cheerleaders and players stared at us in disbelief was some of the most fun I've ever had at an SJU game.
Nice day, huh?

M&G:

On defense, you have nothing to fear.  (Just don't let any of their recievers get 20 yards behind your DB's  ;D)

On offense you might have some trouble on the ground if you can't consistently throw the ball.  But, I wouldn't worry too much.

There is no doubt in my mind that you'll beat 'em. They're not a smashmouth football team (unless you count post-whistle smashes). We have trouble with you every year because both your offense and defense are the most brutal and physical in the conference, and you have speed as well (as opposed to WIAC schools who typically lack said speed). I can't see the Oles taking a pounding all day and still coming out on top.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of passing game the Cobbers pull out. When you DID pass against us, it was mostly effective. After watching 3 different SJU QBs pick that pass defense apart, I'd be tempted to tell CC to throw all day -- not that STO could stop your running game anyway. They couldn't stop ours and it's far from being our strength this season.
