Had they been open until the end of the game, they would have sold even more.  After watching those guys choke, we needed to reopen the Hamms brewery in St. Paul more than ever.

Without MLV, it may be possible.

Do we know why yet? He's still listed on the SJU game notes.

Former Minnesota Vikings head coach Jerry Burns paid a visit to Collegeville Thursday to see Gagliardi and spoke to the team before practice.

I sure hope he left Bob Schnelker at home.

SJU/AUG is going to be such a non-contest that I am leaving the state to watch college football this weekend.  A friend had an extra ticket to the Hawkeyes/Wolverines tilt, so I'll get to see my first live non-Metrodome D-I game this weekend.  It's no ND/USC, but it should be fun.

I think 35-14 sounds like a fair score from Collegeville.  You know what they say about pessimism:  When you're right, you're right; when you're wrong you're pleasantly suprised.

(Where else can a 35-14 win prediction be considered pessimistic?)

You know I drink most anything I can get my hands on.  Why should his potion be any different?

Bus Driver,
Haven't been on for some time now and thought I'd check it out today.  I have a few questions for you.  How do you figure BU isn't in the same league as the Cobbers.  I think BU has lost to teams that have a combine record of 19-1.  They get beat by 2 by STO, 8 by Central and the last TD they let them score and end up on the 1 inch line as time runs out.  The SJU wins 30-9, SJU the better team but the score really doesn't reflect the game, I don't think so at least.  SJU beats Cobbers in last play of the game, but if you look at stats, Cobbers shouldn't even be in game based on stats (I know, it's a funny game).  Back to the Cobber vs BU game;  BU is in top 3 vs the run, that's all Cobbers do!  Yes, they are middle of the pack vs the pass, Cobbers don't pass!  BU running game solid, yet I do think they struggle vs the Cobbers, yet at the same time, BU middle of the pack passing and cobbers give up a ton vs SJU.  I dissagree that BU not in the same league with Cobber, SJU and Olaf for that matter, yet feel BU will have to play at it's best to win.  I like BU chances, but Cobbers win this one 21-17, yes, BU kick's a FG this week!  Just my thoughts from 200 + miles away!!

Freebird-
Are Hoagie and Wendy announcing over the internet?

Yes they are.

Also the game will be video taped by the video production class with the CTV 15 equipment.  If you ask nicely I might be able to get you a tape  :)

...my post wasn't only for bus driver, what do the rest of you think??

Broom,

I think it is still really hard to know how good the upper teams are. We know SJU beat Cord, but is it really easy to say who has the better team between the two? The Oles beat Bethel and has the best offensive stats in the league and impressive Defensive stats, but we won't really know if they how they stack up against the top until they play both SJU and Cord. I think we will finally get our grip on Cord after the Bethel game this weekend. My general opinion of the top 3 is that we won't know a lot about any of them until they play the other 2. I do think Bethel has a chance against Cord this weekend. As the Johnnies showed, if you get a couple Big Plays against them you are in the game, because they don't score enough against good defenses to run away with it.
