ROR - Don't make me send my dad after you in some libel case :)

Whoever has been smiting me, please stop. Or at least tell me why. You've had a week of fun now, so either buck up and give a reason or stop. I've been more than reasonable in my time on here - except for the TDT Wars - but I haven't said anything mean for awhile now.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

WW,

I'm willing to bet that it is Bus Driver.  He tends to abuse his powers.  I think he compensating for a lack of something elsewhere in his life :D

I have always wondered if the same following would exist for sju fb if they didn't have the success they have had, but we will honestly never know since they have been so good for so long.  A very hypotheical question would be "Would you all be so passionate about your team if they were consistently .500?"

The football team is just a vehicle for the following.
This may be hard for someone who did not attend SJU to understand, but the "passion" is about so much more than football.

It's not hatred, it's called BANTER

Thanks for that.  I was starting to feel like a goon.

FYI - Yes, I was anticipating the 'You are a goon' responses before I finished typing the second 'o'.

QuoteHow many people gave the Johhnies a chance against Mount Union in 2003?

Seconded.

My four years at SJU were the finest of my life, and while the football team definitely played a part of that (including being ON the team for a year--the year immortalized in print by Mr. Murphy, no less), it was hardly the biggest part. I don't want to start gushing about the school, though, because a) I'll have a tough time stopping and b) ya'll will get sick of it in a hurry. :) Regardless, fins is spot-on with that assessment.
Nice day, huh?

OAS, are you going to bring that up until the day you die?  What about all the times you've been wrong?  This year alone we've heard BU over SJU, CCover SJU, STO over SJU.  Eventually, you'll be right once in a while.

Something about a monkey at a typewriter. Pretty soon we'll be reading the Gettysburg Address!

The lesson, as always, is "don't pick against the Johnnies." ;)

Sorry for being a bit absent on the board this fall but I have to ask:
Was that an official Triple Monkey Stomp The Johnnies did to St. Olaf this past Saturday?  I think so! :D  The Gearman was the show stopper!  Can't wait for the pounce of the Tommies ;D

OAS, what are you talking about?

Quote from: retiredoldrat on December 17, 2003, 02:20:14 PMI'm going to go out on a limb here and predict SJU over MUC by a score of 24-7.  I think it should really be 31-7, but I further predict a terrible call by the refs on a pass to Blake Elliott in the endzone

I didn't expect Cam McCambridge to block the PAT.   ;D

RHB!  Welcome back.  Hope things are going well for you.

It was close, but no Triple Monkey Stomp was acheived.  Just a Double+.

Who determines whether it is a single, double, or triple Monkey Stomp?  Or what is the criteria?  If you ask me, it was a great stomping!

Duffman, are you going to be at the Tommie game?
