I have always wondered if the same following would exist for sju fb if they didn't have the success they have had, but we will honestly never know since they have been so good for so long.  A very hypotheical question would be "Would you all be so passionate about your team if they were consistently .500?"  

The football team is just a vehicle for the following.

My four years at SJU were the finest of my life, and while the football team definitely played a part of that (including being ON the team for a year--the year immortalized in print by Mr. Murphy, no less), it was hardly the biggest part. I don't want to start gushing about the school, though, because a) I'll have a tough time stopping and b) ya'll will get sick of it in a hurry. Regardless, fins is spot-on with that assessment.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and predict SJU over MUC by a score of 24-7.  I think it should really be 31-7, but I further predict a terrible call by the refs on a pass to Blake Elliott in the endzone
