WSU fan--Excluding the 2000 season, Stout has been in the middle of the WIAC pack in 1999, 2001-2005.  So how can you say that they would compete with the MIAC greats.  Johnny esq gave you quite a history lesson(thank you for that) about how CC and St. J's have won 7 chippers together and Lacrosse has 3 and Stout has none, which also equals 0 (ZERO) aka=GOOSE EGG.  Plus you have your own board of guys to talk about UW-Platteville and River Falls(which we scrimmaged before the season and absolutely dominated them.  In fact its what the johnnie fans like to call a MONKEY STOMP haha) this is a championship board only, won't be seeing you in the playoffs.  Thats all I got.

Actually, I never said any of that, but thanks for your ignorance.

The St. Olaf - Cord game is also referred to as "The Lefse Bowl." Last year, Concordia Chaplain Ernie Mancini, a St. Olaf alumnus, brought a van-load of lefse out to the practice on Tuesday before the game. I think it lead directly to our 50-7 triple monkey stomp last year.

Ernie doesn't bring candy bars anymore?!?!?!

Matters little - Cobbs win by at least 14 with over 375 rusing yards...

Go luck Johnnie's this week....check in on the LL. It's 2 of the biggest weeks of the year, back to back in LL play..the playoffs have esentially begun in Upstate NY a bit early!! RPI still in the hunt for a conf title or Pool C bid but we must win out!!!

Let RT drop some 80's on you.

STU should be much better than they are. They get the players but I think the coachs in football let them down.

Except for Deinhart-he was an outstanding coach

...........News Flash......[/b][/color]

The St. John's boys will be proud...Pat "the Guru" Coleman has signed on to visit the LL on Nov.12 to take in the Union/RPI "battle for the dutchman's shoes". This is the oldest collegiate FB rivalry in NY state at any level, and one of the older ones in the US dating back to the 1880's. This coming weekend is big as RPI and UNION both have tough contests, but if they both put up Ws on Sat, then the showdown on 11/12 in Schenectady, NY should determine the LL confrence winner and a trip to the NCAAs!!

Pull for us 57 and all the boys from collegeville to win out the rest of 2005!!

BTW - I did notice that a few of the MIAC citizens were over in the WIAC board stiring up touble at just the time I accused the WIAC of doing said action.  No one said I had to be consistent or fair.  When you're supporting the home team a  one-eyed view of the world doesn't hurt.

I was bored and they were talking about how tough the WIAC was..... Someone had to set them straight ;)

Then things got a wee bit personal, but cooler heads prevailed.

Check out the front page link to Pat's Playoff Predictions

He has UWW being the #2 seed in the North Central Bracket, and SJU Staying in the Linfield Bracket as the #2 there.

Not sure how the IIAC is projected as getting 3 slots while the MIAC and WIAC only get their automatic qualifiers... especially with Wartburg already having 2 losses to a 5-4 team and a 4-4 team, while Concordia has a last second loss to the #3 team in the nation...Wart still has to play Central, so either Central will have 2 losses or Wart will have 3 which I would think would eliminate both from Pool C consideration especially considering the amount of quality 1 loss teams ... but they know a helluva lot more about this than I.

Thoughts?

KR- it's early yet; things will change... after Cord beats STO, (or vice versa, case may be), both of their SOS will improve.  Plus, both would be 1-1 versus RRO, which is exactly the same as any of the IIAC schools.  If Wart beats Central, then Wart gets the IIAC autobid (even with 2 losses).  If Central beats Wart, Coe wins the autobid and Wart is out.  Either way, Central is pool C candidate with the same RRO record as Cord/STO; but Cord and STO will be stuck with QOW of very close to 10, no matter what

Yeah, it's too early to call things in the west region.  It'll be interesting to see how the IIAC works out in the next two weeks.  I like the thought of moving UWW to the North, not because I wouldn't want to play them, but it makes sense geographically and for the fact that putting #1,2,3 in the nation in one bracket would blow.  I guess we'll know more soon.  If CC beats STO (when, I mean),  I see them getting in.  I don't think STO would get in even if they'd beat CC.

A tradition unrivaled...

Let me revise that; the IIAC schools would be either 1-0 or 0-1 against RRO at the end of the season, so depending upon who gets the autobid in the IIAC, Concordia/STO may or may not have a better showing than the IIAC squads.  We still need to determine what the NCAA regional rankings will show this week; my guess is that STO drops to 10 and everyone else moves up.  But if that happens, and STO loses next week, who moves into that 10th spot?  If it is UWEC, it makes SJU and UWW look really good; if it is Wartburg, it makes the IIAC look really good.

As I said before, it's too early to tell...

I love that I write a post giving a history synopsis in honest support of Concordia on the MIAC board, no less, and I get dinged with the smite bug.  Thanks a lot!

Cord Glory

Is there honestly a chance that Cord won't get in even after they beat STO??  Would the margin of victory affect the chances any?

One more question I have - who do you guys honestly think will be the MVP this year??  Gearman? Porta?
To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I've wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus, and a clown killed my dad.

Nice day, huh?

Has to be Dumo- (Much to my chagrin having a D guys win it !!! ) ;D

If Porta wins it, it will not be on this season, but as a career achievement, which it should not be.  He has been a great player, but someone has always been better than him each year during his career!
