oh boy, you guys got the Bus this time.  Bus was busy snapping shots of the participants during the contest in true ROR fashion.  Bus promises to enter and hence win all future shotgunning competitions.

Rumor that won't die: OneArmedScot will be picking the Tommies to beat the Johnnies in hopes of the upset of the century... :o

The Spartans play the Knights of Climax-Fisher this friday in GF

Will Ulen-Hitterdahl winning the 2005 Section 8, 9-man football title have any impact on the DIII West Region rankings?

RHB, I would imagine there will be some tailgating this weekend in Moorhead for the Cobber-Ole tilt if you are interested.

Make sure you make the Stiftungsfestivities planned for the Tommie game on November 12. Sounds like we are going to have a rather large turnout. Hope the weather cooperates.

Best of luck this weekend to all the deer hunters out there. We could always use some venison at the tailgate party.

Ah yes, the sock!  Something must have happened when I hit my 40's.  The nack of gulping through a man made hole in a beer has been lost.  Try me again in a week at UST.  I will keep on practicing in the meantime.

DuffMan

It's okay, Carbo.  You'll be ready at UST.  Maybe your wife will participate, too :o

I think the winner of the St. Olaf/Concordia game gets in the playoffs.  It is likely the winner will have one loss.  I think that will good enough to get in.  I am not sure if St. Olaf deserves it after losing to SJU as bad as they did, but they still have a solid record.  I guess we will know in a few weeks.

sjusection105

Point of interest to SJU faithful in Central Minnesota.
This Friday 11-4-05 @ 5:00pm on the campus of SCSU former Johnnie Nose Tackle, Ryan Weinandt coaches the Dassel-Cokato  Chargers in the Section 5AAA final against the Becker Bulldogs. Ryan landed the job of head coach as his first assignment out of SJU. In only his second year at the helm he leads the Chargers to the section finals. Dassel-Cokato plays in the very tough Wright County Conference with the likes of Delano,Glencoe-Silver Lake and Litchfield. Many consider the Wright County Conference the toughest 3A conference in the state. The Wright County Conference is regularily represented in the Prep Bowl 3A game. The Chargers had many down years since another former Johnnie,Phil Kern, was their QB in the mid-90's. It looks as if Ryan has them headed back in the right direction.
If you are in the St. Cloud area Friday around 5:00pm and have some time to take in a game here is your chance.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

DuffMan

105, are you going to the game?  As of now, I don't think I'll be able to make it.  I did get a chance to see D-C in action against Waconia a couple of weeks ago.  I wish the best to Ryan and his Chargers!

By the way, I remember D-C having a pretty good squad in '97.  They knocked off Sartell in the section tournament :-\

Duffman,

I may try make it up to St. Cloud. 1997, I think the QB was Mike Hermann, the son of my HS football & track coach. Mike played at Augustania in Souix Falls,he was "Ramler like" big kid who had a cannon for an arm & could run. I'm so old I remember when he would run out to pick up the tee after kicks.

DuffMan

I can't recall the QB.  About all I remember is a missed PAT in overtime dooming the Sabres that year.
