CC will win out and will get in. Rightfully so, as I think SJU and CC have shown they are a cut above most D-3 teams. What if SJU had not completed that last second pass? Is there any way they don't make the field 32? Why should CC be any different?

They make the field and make it interesting in the first round.

TC - Great point - would there even be a doubt whether the Johnnies would get in with one loss?? I know they've beat one WIAC team and Cord hasn't, but I don't think there would be a question that the Johnnies would get in if they had not gotten incredibly lucky against the Cobbs -  ;)
To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I've wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus, and a clown killed my dad.

GHC,

Just like 2002, right?

Duffman,

I figured you would really like to know ;) that the SJU soccer team will play perennial soccer power MAC in the MIAC Championship Saturday to get the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. What time will you be arriving?

Good luck Johnnies.

It will be a travesty if the MIAC doesn't get its top 2 teams in the playoffs. I don't care what all the mathematics show. The IIAC doesn't deserve 2 spots, much less 3.
Central and Coe needed miracles at the end to beat middle of the pack MIAC teams (Bethel and St. Thomas). Wartburg clobbered Augsburg by a whole 3 points, and the game was tied at the half.
Also unfortunate that SJU will not get the 1 seed. Linfield gets it based on last years reputation. SJU D will shut down Linfield. An 8th seeded Concordia playing smash mouth against #1 Linfield might be fun too.

Full regional rankings are up, C-M looks to be in good shape. No reason to talk about the IIAC getting three teams in. It will be two at most and not at the expense of the Cobbers.

Regarding SJU hosting Mount Union: I don't think West and North with face off in the Semi's. I think West will be the highest seeded bracket (with Linfield and SJU), North (with UW-W and Mount U.) and East (with Rowan) will be 2/3, and the South (with Trinity, TX as headliner) will be 4. That would match the West with the South in the semi's, and North with East. I'm predicting the Stagg Bowl will feature Linfield or SJU vs. Mount or UW-W...unless North Central or Wabash are worthy of their rankings.

Will there be tailgating? ;D

I don't know. Maybe OAS should respond to that? MAC must support soccer more than football.

Good to see the NCAA agrees with me that Concordia deserves a playoff bid over ALL of the IIAC teams ;D... despite the fact that one will get the AQ.

Linfield has been playing solid football and has no blemishes.  Couple that with a championship last year, and I'd give them #1 seed in a heartbeat.

It's amazing how Wartburg can win the IIAC with 2 overall losses, but they had 2 losses last year when they came to "The Jake" and were frost bitten by the Cobbers 28-14 in the first round of the playoffs (One of there TD's was a blocked punt return) The smash mouth style of football started when All-American cornerback Jordan Talge put a Wburg reciever on his back and out of the first half.  A result of running an out pattern and about to turn up-field and see nothing but your feet in the air.

Also, this was a historic day in the NBA when Ron Artest charged into the stands and fought Detriot fans over a shoving match with Ben Wallace.  Last night Artest scored 16 pts in a Pacers win.  THats all I got.

LC is clearly No. 1. If you want to stir the Purple People up, OTF, at least make it a point we can bat around without looking silly. SJU's only hope for a 1 is to be shipped to another reason and that ain't going to happen.

That said,  if LC and SJU meet, it's not like the Johnnies haven't won in Oregon before.

Cobbernation - Today isn't actually the anniversary for that yet. However, with his scoring 16 points last night in mind, I have decided to wear my authentic Artest jersey to old man ball here in 15 minutes. Long live The Worm's disciple!
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

dtrain;  There is no set format relative to seeding the individual regions... check FAQ on home page.  Good thought however, it may end up the way you speculate, I would agree.

Gig Harbor Cat;  Just like 2002? You have the trophy and will advance to the region final but not any further.

Bus;  Manifest a Johnnie/Raider playoff game in Collegeville.  THAT would be a game for the ages.....

If they'd come here, I'd hope SJU could find a boiler room for them to get dressed in :D
