Maniac,
I assume you'll be in full Tommie regalia tomorrow.  After I get done thrashing Willy Wonka, I'll throw down with you.

Gluek's in the cooler.  I'm ready for some tailgating.  Let's get this party started.

Fins - if we won't meet again until the playoffs we may just have to get together for an evening prior to the post season so we can celebrate SJU's regular season of running the tables on its opponents.

I wish I was all packed up and ready to go like Duff.  It will be a great day.

GO SJU!!!
Go Johnnies!!!

Redtooth

Ritz,

Several pages back you stated the following:

I cannot recall if Reddepenning won it in 96, but that may be the last if he did....  I know the year before,I was a finalist in the voting  (TOOT TOOT TOOTING, my old horn as Glory Days plays in the background!!!) but lost out to some trained monkey----

Having watched your playing days...I can assure you that your being a finalist was not due to any great skill on your part.  You were known as a Windsock providing the best LOOKOUT  :o blocks available.

I know it will pain  you all to hear this, but due to my spendathon weekends I've had the previous 3 weekends, my jersey and I will not be in attendance.  I put in a 16 hour day today and work tomorrow, drink heavily for free Saturday night and work on Sunday.  I hope to be able to make it to the Bethel game though so my shirt can get a usage in.
Heaven isn't too far away,
Closer to it every day

Hey 57 and Bennie: keep my seat warm-will have to suffice with up-dates from from fellow Johnnies. Gotta believe SJU comes out ready to play and gets the early lead. Keep the popcorn and bobblehead close by.

Emery Joe dead at 61. Sad. Almost made it to the 20-year reunion of 1987.

For the hockey fans in here, did anyone see Wild's Boogaard lay that Duck out last night?
http://www.startribune.com/1330/story/772284.html

QuoteOne punch later, and Fedoruk would be rushed to the hospital with what the team called a facial injury. Wild players said the right side of Fedoruk's face caved in when Boogaard clobbered him.

Gotta love a 6-7, 250-pound southpaw from Regina throwing haymakers ...

As a hockey fan/purist, I'm not all that big a fan of the "goon" factor, but Boogard is a guy who's hard not to like and respect. Very seldom does he go after someone, but will stick up for the skill guys on the Wild when necessary. I have seen him back off many times when the time wasn't right, not get into it even when he could have tuned up the guy no problem, and laugh when two or three guys try to get him going. He will also not throw one more punch than necessary. Has he ever lost a fight?

Good luck everyone today (except the Tommies  ;D ).  Looks like great weather out there, too bad I couldn't make the trip down to Cretin this year.  Got the radio set and will be listening in as I go about my business.  Everyone hold down the fort and I'll come back after the game to read the blow by blow reporting on the board!  Go Johhnies!!!
