Predictions for MNF:

Tony K. will have a lame joke and say something stupid, Mike T. will say nothing important, and Joe T. will introduce the unknown celebrity that will show up between the beginning of the 2nd quarter and the end of the 3rd.  My guess:  Garnett, Cunningham, C. Carter.

Oh, the score:

MIN  24
NE   21

Anyone elses thoughts?

I'll turn the audio off on the TV and listen to PA.  Not a big PA fan, but anything is better than listening to these guys.

I know you're trying to be funny, but comparing Miami football and Duke LAX is not really fair. One has been involved in numerous transgressions, the other has been  falsely accused of wrongdoing, once.

VOJ - notwithstanding the greats from 'Cuse ( the Gait twins, the Powell brothers, Jim Brown etc..) I like UVA. Also, Lacrosse (with an "e") was invented in Canada by the Indians. Oops, excuse me for not being PC. The indiginous peoples of that wonderful country north of our border. Gopher hockey has been hard to beat for the last few years. They've got some outstanding youngsters this year. Let's hope the level of competition so far is not elevating them to a status higher than they deserve though.

Finsleft and the rest of the Div. III crew...

What are the chances SJU gets moved to the east or south region as a number 1 seed?

I particulary would like a comment from Fisnleft as his football related posts recently have been "swami" like!

Developing.... ;D

Dusty-no way, in answer to your question-too much travel would be involved and the NCAA does not care if the top 4 teams were in one region.

Retired Old Rat

Not gonna happen.  Reference last year.  #1,#2 and #3 all in the West.  Stayed in the West.

Hopefully we will see UWW earlier than we would like.

56321, is an 11/11 Collegeville trek in your agenda?

I say the sooner we see a tender Beaver or a Beaver-less UWW the better.  I believe their starting FB also went down to injury vs MHB.

Duffman-it is possible, but my son is playing youth football and this Saturday is the conference championship-if we win-we play in the "super bowl" on November 11th. So I will have to wait until Saturday afternoon. But I am still debating whether to wait for the first round playoff game instead-what do you suggest if my son'e team doesn't advance? I have December 2nd already reserved for UWW.

I know you asked Duffman, but we liberals always have to get our say in.   ;)

IMHO, the 11/11 game will be a much better game than the 1st round playoff game.  A lot more excitement, I think,
as I expect Clemens will be filled.  Exhibit A would be Monmouth last year.

I think the 11th will be a great game.  Who knows about a play-off game?  SJU could lose to Bethel and not even get a play-off game.

I would say that Dr. Dirk (or KR as 2nd choice ;)) should chime in on this one, but coming back from a broken collar bone for a hard charging RB is easier said than done. Justin Beaver is a great player, but I doubt he is back this year and if he is one wrong  hit & he is done.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

If the Vikings score tonight it will be a fluke of nature the way Brad's throwing up the rock, I love it when the mediocrity of their team is highlighted on national television.

For the sake of getting to know everyone on this board a little better, I was wondering if everyone here is Minnesota/Big Ten fans. Obviously most everyone here is more D3 oriented, but it'd still be interesting to find out what everybody's favorite D1 program is.

Good question, BU.

Here is the poll question of the week.

What's worst to face?

1. Colts Offense
2. Bears Defense

What's the best to face?

1. Colts Defense
2. Cardinals Defense/Offense

Cardinals D isnt too bad as far as fantasy football goes.  I'm thinking that they're just on the field way too long.

Cobbernation--if CC saw the Auggie/GAC game, they'll probably be passing a bit.  Auggie Tech passed all over my boys in the 2nd half.  I'm thinking it will be a good game though, as long as GAC can get their offense going.

You don't usually break your collar bone from a direct contact injury when you're wearing shoulder pads, but it probably wouldn't feel very good getting hit. More than likely, if Beaver is gonna re-injure his collarbone it will be from landing on his shoulder like Adrian Peterson did.

Good to see the Johnnies were more successful than I was bird hunting. For the 4 of us, 0 geese in 6 hours in the morning, 3 pheasants in 3 hours in the afternoon Saturday.
Sunday: 1 goose, 2 ducks in 4 hours in the morning and 3 pheasants in 1 hour 15 min in the afternoon.

Sh*tty news of the day: My first weekend day that I have to work for this rotation is Nov 11th. :'(

I guess it will be a playoff game before I make it to the hallowed grounds of the Natural Bowl next!

+k to all who posted from whence I departed Friday until now just for sh*ts and giggles, but mostly the giggles.
