I'm very familiar with the girl on the left...I've harrassed her many-a-times at a certain restaurant in St. Peter.  And by "harrassing" I mean talking to her about how much cooler I am than Wonka.  Of course she agreed, and we've been friends since. 

That's like saying TDT is cooler than AO...oooh, burn.

Question to all:  how many/which MIAC schools do you think will play St. Scholastica in the coming years?  I'm thinking they'll play some bottom feeders of the MIAC and MAC, Northwestern and the like.    Side question:  will they compete at all with UMD for recruits?  Their campus is 70% female...

Well, since Northwestern JV can beat the Bethel JV, which using the pythagorean theorem means that Northwestern can beat Ohio State, I don't see St. Scholastica playing them.   I could see some games with Mac, Martin Luther, Crown, St. Mary's School for the Blind and Augsburg...man, I could drink Labatt Blue and watch South Park all damn day long.

No way will a Upper Midwest Athletic Conference team compete with an NCC team like UMD.

CSS added hockey years ago in a bid to bring more males to what was mostly regarded, if I recall, as a nursing school.

I wouldn't be surprised if they play a few games against Northern Minny JCs in the early going.

Good luck to them, Duluth is a great town. I lived there for four years in the early '80s and loved it. Decent skiing, tremendous muni golf, fish and hunting ops .... I used to live a few blocks from Jim Malosky, a fantastic football man who was tough as nails. And like his former MIAC rival Gags, he had a son who played QB and then assisted him at UMD. Daughter worked as NBC NBA sideline reporter.  Jim Sr. was Gopher teammate of Harry P. Grant (and Verne Gagne). Bud's boy Bruce was also QB there.

But I digress ...

I don't recommend Old Milwaukee at room temperature...not so good
