Well, since Northwestern JV can beat the Bethel JV, which using the pythagorean theorem means that Northwestern can beat Ohio State, I don't see St. Scholastica playing them.   I could see some games with Mac, Martin Luther, Crown, St. Mary's School for the Blind and Augsburg...man, I could drink Labatt Blue and watch South Park all damn day long.

Ohio State, maybe not, but Northwestern is favored to beat a 7 time Big Ten champion on saturday.

Congratulations to Scholastica for bringing d3 football to the north as UW-Superior doesn't field a team.  I could see the saints being competitive with the majority of teams in the state in 5 years.  The hockey and basketball programs have definitely had success against the MIAC.

Should be a good game on the 11th though, eh?  The johnnies get 2 weeks to play mind games with themselves about whether or not to respect the royals.  How could they not with the general mindset of the alumni posting on this board that teams in collegeville can win games based upon tradition alone.  Maybe Bethel should bribe the monday night officials who tended to favor the visiting team.  How is a homeless man on the new england sideline allowed to speak to the officials, nevermind convince them to change calls.  Of course there is the possibility bill was just asking the stripes if he had any food or spare change.

Have you guys ever wondered why TDT has never publically endorsed JR's favorite radio station, B96? It never really crossed my mind until he revealed to me who his favorite musical artists are: Lil Wayne and Baby.

Here's why that's sketchy.

TDT also told me that he's bought tickets and requested back stage passes for Lil Wayne's next show on Nov. 25 in New Orleans. He spoke in plurality, but I'll let you draw your own conclusions there. If the Johnnies are still playing that weekend, TDT will have a difficult decision to make -- feasting his eyes on large, sweaty men in spandex in cold Minnesnowta or gourging himself on char-blackened meat in a backstage, uh, party on Thanksgiving weekend. Either way, it's a win-win situation for him.

I can't wait to hear "Ish happens when you party naked" in Big Tymers next hit.

Ah, B96! One more reason Carver County is the place to be (the radio tower for the station is located here in Hollywood Township). All we have to do now is get Auggie Tech to open a campus in the township. Life would be so very good.

Just a reminder: anyone interested in attending the JR re-election party on Friday evening, November 10, please let me know via email. Dinner, which includes pork chops grilled by the Carver County Pork Producers, is on the house. There will be a cash bar. Hillbilly Cadillac, a bluegrass band, will be playing from 8-11:00 p.m. The party will be at the Norwood Young America pavilion, the site of the Stiftungsfest. Please RSVP by this Sunday, November 5 since I need to put in the order for the chops.

Anyone on the board have a contact with Paris Hilton? I have not been able to get her an invite to the Johnnie-Royals game on November 11. I'm assuming the rent-a-cops could provide her with some security if needed. We could have her do the coin toss at the beginning of the game and then stand on the sidelines with the Royals during the game so they would have something positive to look at given the beating they will be going through on the field. Boy, I away from my computer for a couple of days and practically had to read a novel to catch up!

I went to visit a friend this Sunday and she had an article on Gags that she had cut out of the New York Times for me a couple of weeks ago. Do I have my friends trained well or what? Happy Birthday John!!!

I am a bit late on these favorites:

College Football: Notre Dame (now that Lou Holtz is gone! Hate that man!!), University of Oregon, Big Ten teams. I have/will cheer for Big Ten teams when they play the Ducks...don't tell my co-workers/friends!

College Hockey: I don't have any one team that I cheer for, I just enjoy! I have a fondness for American born college educated hockey players in the NHL. Whenever one of my friends point out that a player went to SCSU, I tell them that I am not sure that counts as college educated! One of my favorites to mock is Tyler Arnason. When he played for the Blackhawks, his player profile listed his hobbies as tv. Don't even get me started on the Theo Fleury fiasco!!

I don't watch Lacrosse.
