Some Monkey Stomp would be greatly appreciated...    so the Devils can go "pound the rock" on UWW

Touchdown Tommy

3 entire verses dedicated to me?  That is a lot of greatness to live up to Ritzy.  I shall do my best to drink 37 Hamm's next weekend.....may have to make a special exception and bring back the shotgunning contests too.  Especially if the honorable 56321 and his lovely wife make an appearance.

Favre? Favre who?  Oh yea the guy who we'll be seeing on 12-21 at Lambeau get monkey stomped by the Vikes.  Time for the hick from Kiln to hang em up...

BDB: Will you be in Whitewater today?

Oh I almost forgot...how bout those Anoka Tornadoes?  Laying the beatdown on the Rebels last night.  Rest assured that Dougie Fresh and Dinny are smilin' away this morning...

Since the Johnnies aren't on the gridiron today, indulge me in some hockey talk. I think at least one other might be interested.

Saw the Johnnies in their season opener against Lake Forest last night. They took it to 'em 8 - 5. ( If a three TD margin is a monkey stomp in football, can a three goal beatdown be analogous in hockey?) The Johnnies started a little slow and Lake Forest (the Foresters by the way. I think it was a game between the least imaginative named teams in America) scored about five minutes in. After that it was the Johnnies dominating particularly along the boards and with speed. They outshot the Foresters 16 - 8 in the first and 19 - 9 in the second, didn't get the third period totals. They need to cut down on penalties as I believe all goals against were on the PP. One goal was disputed, with Harrington contending it was kicked in, I believe. One penalty call was rather strange as one of the Johnnies was called for a trip and a hook on the same play. The goalie was no Adam Hanna. He let in at least one softie and a couple were flukie goals. Jason Wild had four goals for the good guys.  I predict another excellent season for the pucksters. We'll see tonight just how good they are as they go against St Norbert.

retagent, you're right. Being a puck head myself there is at least one more of us interested.

The Blue Devils are playing this Tuesday night up at St. John's. I would love to be there, hope you can go.

Devils are 2-0 with a home win against Lawrence 4-1 and a road game win last night at St. Olaf 3-2.

Tonight I will be in attendance as the Devils host the Gusties.  :)

BDB.  Sounds like the Blue Devils will be a better foe on the ice than on the field. Let's hope for a good game with the best team prevailing. It is quite a trip from SE Wis to Johnnieville, so I will only be there in spirit.

BDB just used my name and the term Monkey Stomp on the air...what a STUD! ;D

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Thanks for the update-- losing Hanna will be tough for the Jay's pucksters, and they lost something like three of their top four scorers last year too.  So I'm glad to see we can outscore opponents!  I'm headed up to Duluth this afternoon to watch the Gopher pucksters take on the 'Dogs.

My high school FB team lost a heartbreaker in OT last night-- scoreless at the end of regulation and we lost 6-3.  Congrats to Delano, but it hurts pretty good right now to lose that way when you had your chances.  Our defense averaged giving up all of 6 points per game this year, and our offense couldn't get it done last night.

Good luck to all MIAC teams today!

I think I just saw Johnnie Red smooching with a  Badger co-ed at Camp Randall.  Not bad for an old guy.  Hope he didn't have to pay any more than last time to get into the game  :o.

Can we get an early forecast for the big showdown next weekend in Collegeville?  I am getting a little nervous about the Royals.......i mean the weather  ::)

FYI: TDT was killing the Sheepshead this morning.  Fish tacos for din din...
