Silly - While "X" is a good play, I think they've both adjusted their 4 plays to account for the following options: incomplete pass, interception, FB dive and quick kick.

On a related note, the offensive powerhouses both went 3-and-out to start the second half. Surprising, I know, but it's true.

Frank - Here's what I've gathered from the announcers today.

Bergstrom is calling a game the '85 Bears would be proud of, but the offense looks like my sister is either calling the plays. She knows enough of the game to say "We're bad" whenever I call, but I wouldn't trust her beyond that.

Run. Run. Try to throw it up downfield before you get sacked. It worked on the touchdown to Arlt and just now for a first down. Assuming we can avoid turnovers, the defense doesn't seem likely to break.

cobbernation - Are the Cobbers really this bad? Why can't they settle on one quarterback?

A holding and false start later, it's 2nd and goal from the 24 which turns into a Stolp missed field goal from 42. Good thing GAC paid thousands of dollars to bring in a kicking specialist from California to work with him a few weeks back...

Sure is a quiet gameday here without the Johnnies playing. Maybe we really do make the world go 'round...

Are the Concordias really this bad? It almost feels like they are tanking the season on purpose in hopes of having the first pick of NDSU transfers that will inevitably end up dominating at SJU.

Bethel posters are like a rare and beautiful flower, appearing in full bloom for a week every fall, haughty over their dominance of the Augsburgs and Hamlines of the MIAC. And just like fall turns to winter, robbing flowers of their very essence, so too does the schedule turn to St. John's, robbing Bethel of their playoff hopes. Enjoy your stay, little fellers! It's going to be a long winter.

It's going to be strange not seeing Linfield in the playoffs, but Whitworth certainly seems like they will uphold the NWC tradition. Whitewater doesn't look too bad, either. Should be a fun postseason.
