Just curious, all season, I have watched Dumos stats, and every game that I have paid to see which is most of them his stats are right on. This guy is a great defensive player for the Johnnies, and rightly so a candidate for MVP on defense.   How many teams pad their players stats in an attempt to have an advertised star for recruiting.  I feel this is the case at bethel with Kirby Carr.  Even though the school really advocates no recruitement necessary, this guy has not shown the type of play on the field other than the returned pat's for TDs that his stats show.  It is really hard to swallow and follow.  I followed the entire game today on air, and with plenty of communication by phone, and other than the offsides play by Carr, how in the world did he rack up 16 tackles??   John Evans had 2 picks and he wont even be mentioned.   This is getting rediculious

Hello...where is Johnnie Red?  Where is Old SJU67? Where are all my buddies from Linfield?  Playoffs are just two weeks away!  I am going to Disneyworld!  Literally!  Then it is time to roll with the Johnnies all the way to the Stagg Bowl!  It is good to be back!  Hello red Hot Bennie...are you still with us?

D O.C.

I feel I can tip the LINFIELD beanie to Phil Porta. Sounds like a warrior we never had the chance to meet.

A nod to the Collegeville boys too, actually. They qualified this time.

Props to the Rocori HS football team for qualifying for state tonight.  In the past with QB's like Alex Koefed (SJU) and David Sauer (UST :'(), not to mention a D1 wideout in Decker, they couldn't quite pull it off.  This year, at 6-5 (wow have they turned it around) they are headed to state - and have clinched a .500 record.

And a nod to the Linfield boys, too.  They managed to finally win the NCAA's last year.

How many teams pad their players stats...

I was just wondering something similar.  Apparently, Mattson had 28 tackles and Kroger had 22 tackles for Augsburg.  Although Bethel did run 91 plays, that seems like an unattainable number of tackles for one guy.  Not to mention that they had two guys listed with over 20.  I guess it all comes down to what your stat guy calls an "assist."

Am I the only one who picked the Tomcats and will be rooting for the Pipers today?

Duffman,
They may mean on the field of play:
1. At the time of the play
2. During the game
3. During warmup
4. On the day of the game

Wow either Auggie Tech improved a whole bunch since the 22nd of October or Bethel is just really really bad.  Inexcusable to play Tech that close if you want to be considered with the upper eschelon teams of the MIAC.  Where would the Royals be without Phil Porta?  Would they win a single game?

What about in 2002 when Bethel almost lost to Hamline, but still one the MIAC...it doesn't matter how close the game is...a win is a win...one team may have an outstanding day, while the other might be playing poorly..at least we won..that's all that matters

Go Royals!

Come on MR, you're better than that!
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

Mighty Royal.   I hava a question since I didn't folow the game, but how does Bethel get almost 500 yards total offense, and get only 17 points? Were there a lot of turnovers, or could they just not seal the deal often?

Dr. KR,

I need medical advice.  Do you think a cold Hamm's would help rid me of this pesky cold virus?

Duff-
I say shotgunning 2 Hamm's will get rid of the cold...either that, or you won't even notice you have it anymore.  I'm going with the mass quantity of Schmidt's Light to not notice my cold.
