I guess that answers the age old question of what was the Queen doing?

Answer - She was home-coming.

ZING!!!!!!

Based on the ...um... size of the pus-dripper, she was faking it :o

KR, Now the question is: Is this a traditional lookin homecoming queen, or the queen that's elected as a joke?   My senior year we elected a foreign exchange student who outweighed 3 out of our 5 starting O-linemen.  Funny at the time-now kinda pathetic    ;D

Dunno, didn't get to see her. Based on her taste in men, she's either not that sweet or has cataracts :o

KR, keep your phone handy.

Done and done.

KR,

She wasn't voted Homecoming Queen for nothing  :D

Maybe the more appropriate term would have been home-dripping-pus Queen :-X

Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Unfortunately, tomorrow will be the first playoff game I have missed in a long, long time.  Hopefully, SJU got a wakeup call last week and will bring their "A" game tomorrow.  If they do I believe they will prevail and I will be ready to go see them next week.

Good luck to Bethel tomorrow.  Go MIAC.  Bring home two victories on Saturday.

Go Johnnies!!

Fins - your last nun joke was damn funny.

Go Johnnies!!!

Willy Wonka

Two groin-related items for people to gnaw on (I don't mean that literally, TDT) as they await tomorrow's games.

I just sent an article to the presses titled "Groin limits Favre." I had to sneak it past a coworker. Hopefully I get a bunch of angry calls from people across the river over the weekend.

Also, check out what Brad Childress had to say about Fred Smoot at the weekly press conference. I'm not making this up.

''He had a little groin coming out of the 49ers game."

BUdefense - Think Bill Simmons might have some fun with that one?

Wonka's schedule for tomorrow

11am: Watch Hawkeyes pound Gophs in a sad start
Noon: Mute tv, listen to MIAC games on the radio
12:30: Possibly call to harrass TDT, order pizza
2:30: Watch touching story on Bo before the game
3: Mute the game to listen to GAC men's bball opener
5: Celebrate GAC win with more pizza
8: Start poker tourney with roomie and buddies
Midnight: Hit the townies bars and/or 'sconny gentlemen's club
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

The beer, shrimp, red cups and a special treat from Mrs KR are loaded in the Cavalier of destiny. Time to take the Browns to the Super Bowl then I'm off!

Good luck Bethel!

GO JOHNNIES!!

GO JOHNNIES!

So, yeah, I'm still pretty pissed about last week's game.  I don't think anyone on here was convinced SJU was the 3rd best team in the country, but I certainly thought that they were in the small that was right behind MUC and UWW.  Now I obviously have my doubts.

Central is such a boring team.  Blah offense, good defense, seemed to pull out close wins all year long against any good team it played.  Then again, that is EXACTLY what St. John's has turned out to be this year, only they couldn't pull out a close one--or even keep it particularly close--against Bethel.

Don't get me wrong--I am very excited for the playoffs to start.  31 games to decide the national champion on the field, with my team having a shot at making a difference in who wins it all.  But an inconsistent offense featuring a quarterback who peaked in the first game of his freshman year, no running game to speak of, a defense that's been asked to do too much all year playing their worst game right before the playoffs start, a kicking game built around dropping snaps and missing extra points, laughers against UWW and Bethel in the last calender year...  I hate to say it, but faith is at an all-time low.  A year or two ago, I couldn't fathom missing an SJU playoff game in Pella.  This year I didn't even consider making the trip.

***

OK, enough with the negativity.  I really don't know much about Central, but I'm pretty certain Kyle Gearman is going to be the most talented offensive player on the field, Steffensmeier and Gunderson (non-sexual man-crush!) will be the most talented defensive players on the field, and (John) Gagliardi will be the most talented coach on the field.  I don't think anyone doubts this teams talent, but maybe the loss to Bethel will make them realize that Blake Elliott and Cam McCambridge aren't coming back and this team can't just step on the field and expect to win.

Plus, the Johnnies haven't exactly blown the cover off of the playbook the last couple games against St. Thomas and Bethel, so good luck with those game films, Central...

I think it all adds up to about SJU 26, Central 18.

TC-nice post-and I agree with most of what you said-although Central has some very good players, as well. If SJU wins I believe it won't be a close game, by that I mean, SJU will be clicking on all cylinders and win by 14 or 21 points. But if SJU is as bad as Saturday and Central is a good team, this could be a loss by 14 or 21 points. A close game does not favor SJU, with what the defense showed last week. It is good to get playoff experience for the Frosh and Sophs and be ready to go next year.

FLASH-TDT has landed in Pella-the National Guard has been called out.....

ZIP,
Sounds like you are ready to roll. Will you be at your regular reserved seat?
I sure hope the feed works today. Last Sat. I think bennie was the only regular that got it. The problem was loading. I got the pregame and then it quit. Good game NOT to get.

57-I will be here, for a while, at least.
If the feed does not work, switch to the Central feed-at least we have an option today, if necessary.
I hope you have everything at the ready-I would make the popcorn just before noon and keep the bobble head near by.

I have everything ready - will be wearing red, alum sweat today as the RAT sweat finally failed last week. I have had the feeling all year long that this is just an average(for St. John's) team. They will have to perform extraordinarily to advance very far. Of course they have done that in the past - surprised me on many occasions.
