Games that could flip the West and North playoff brackets around:

UWW down 10-7 to Stout at the half

NorthCentral down 17-10 to Augustana at the half

Wartburg beating Central 14-10 at the half

Duffman- I went to the 5AAA tiltle game last night. Ryan W. squad came up short against Becker. That being said, everyone I spoke to in the stands (parents & former players) are impressed with what he has done in 2 years. Section runner up is leaps & bounds from where the team was 2 years ago.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

No, I didin't call you a dump ass, the defensive coord. at olaf is a dump ass.  Why so sensitive to the DA comment?

DuffMan

I wasn't being sensitive.  I've never heard of the term "dump ass."  I was trying to figure out if you were encouraging a dump pass or if you meant dumb ass.

I heard about the loss, 105.  I'm glad that you could make it to the game.  Did you get a chance to speak with Ryan after the game?  It sounds like he has done a good job.  His RB looked like a work horse when I saw them play.

I've lost my feed now.  I can't seem to get it from either school's site.

Lone Auggie Backer

Duffman-
If you were at the game to see it, you would realize that Matson and Kroger's stats were not padded.  Especially in our defensive scheme, those two account for the majority of our tackles.  They have consistently produced those kind of numbers.  Those two have kept us in the few games we have been in this year.  I thought that our defense played very well yesterday.  Somewhat playing like the Johnnie bend-but-don't-break style.  Yes Bethel won and racked up some serious yards, but I was impressed with the way our D made their stands when it came to the red zone.

Porta is the man.  I mean, is he covered in Crisco.  Numerous times yesterday we had guys in position to stop him for a big loss, only to see him scamper down the field for another of his 15 to 20 yd gains.  He does a great job of using his Line, and often times wouldn't make his first move until he was 5 yards down the field.  It is neat but still a little weird to see their entire team huddle together in prayer every time a player was on the ground due to injury.  Not that it is a bad thing in any way, just not something that you see in any other game, and therefore, a little different.

The Bethel coach, doing something that I have never seen an opposing coach do, came over and spoke to our team after the game.  He did a good job, and showed great class after a hard fought game.

good luck to everyone in the last week.  Stay healthy

Out of order, I'll show you out of order! You don't know what out of order is, Mr Task! I'd show you but I'm too old, I'm too tired, and I'm too f----n blind. If I were the man I was 5 years ago, I'd take a FLAMETHROWER to this place. Out of order, who the hell do you think you're talking to?

DuffMan

I was not at the game and just based my opinion on listening to the game and reading stats throughout the season.  If that is your scheme and if it works for you, fine.  I guess I am just used to playing in a different system.  I'll take you at your word if you say that they actually make that many tackles because you seem like a level-headed lad.
