UWO is pressing into the endzone-- UWEC scored a fieldgoal, but UWO just won 24-18

Anyone else see the letter in the Strib today regarding the STO football team?  It was critical of last week's articles and Meidt for not acknowledging Paul Miller's work in establishing the groundwork for the recent success.

A UWEC win would have helped SJU's playoff seeding if we still expected UWW to be in the West, however as mentioned, with the North Central loss, doesn't seem like it will have made much of a difference.

With Rowan an North Central losing... assuming the top 25 does a predictble slide up here's what the top ten could look like (assuming Rowan drops below CC with their loss to a losing team)

1.   Linfield
2.   Whitewater
3.   SJU
4.   UMHB
5.   MUC(k)
6.   Oxy
7.   Delaware Valley
8.   Trinity
9.   Hardin Simmons
10.   Concordia

West region teams in bold.
West- 5 teams South (Texas) 3 teams, East- 1 team, North- 1 team.

Not bad to have the top 3 teams and 5 of the top 10 out of the West region! ;D

Some big performances for the Tommies today:

Junior wideout P. J. Theisen tied a 19-year-old school record with four TD catches as St. Thomas leads Hamline 35-13 late in the fourth quarter.

The Tommies (4-4 overall, 4-3 MIAC) moved back to .500 on the season and ran their winning streak to three games. It was UST's 10th consecutive victory over Hamline (3-6, 1-6).

Theisen had 12 receptions for 224 yards for his fifth consecutive 100-yard receiving game. His four TD catches matched the UST record set by Brian Biehn vs. St. John's in 1986. Theisen went over 100 career receptions on the day in his 27th game.

Freshman QB David Sauer completed 25-of-30 passes for 349 yards and five TD passes in three quarters in just his second career start. Jake Casey rushed 22 times for 133 yards.
