Redtooth

Wooderson and Johnnie Esq,

I need to clarify a couple of items related to the events of 2000 while in Washington.  The speeding ticket was actually running a red light by the lady driving the defense bus.  She was trying to follow the lead bus (always the offense) :P and had to run a red to catch up.

Duffman was right about your brother Esq, food poisoning caused by bad pancakes while touring Pike's Market.  I was your brother's ride to the football game after we busted him out of the hospital on Saturday morning.  We spent Friday morning on foot in downtown Seattle...parades, the Space Needle, the protest, catching fish and two knuckleheads almost missing the bus :D

Let's hope we can continue to enjoy memory lane....Abilene in the semis and that wonderful first trip to Salem via Raleigh Durham (the wonderful bus drivers with the Soviet issue buses)

Have a great Thanksgiving all!

Fins, How was the last weekend of deer hunting?

Quiet in the woods, (except for the cell phone calls from KR and Duff on Saturday). A little louder around the cribbage board.

I'm sure the deer appreciated the warning!

Just a thought...but these piRATes fans from Whitworth are pathetic.  Seriously, where are they?  I can't remember a quieter Johnnie football playoff week.  I mean even when we stomped on Monmouth last season they had plenty of clowns yapping about their Roush and challenging Duffman to shotgunning contests.
Chasing MILFs since '82...

Wildcat,
That is freakin' hilarious......I am laughin' my head off....that chick is probably too classy for TDT seeing as he is the president of the classless club!

I just love how much pop-culture picks it up....immediatly the anchor asks if he knows he just made his debut on youtube.....

My mistake-- last week, the Doc blamed it on the OCB, and I took it from that.  I guess it really doesn't matter-- it certainly made for an interesting experience-- though "Lazerus" BE in Abilene makes for a pretty good road trip story as well.

TDT, be good to the Monmouth crew-- they were great guys and they have to put up with the Norbies all year every year, instead of the one-and-done that MIACers occasionally have to deal with.  As KR would attest, they wear kilts themselves, and they certainly wouldn't shy away from a Hamm's!

Ah T . . . the boys did their best . . . just a heartbreaker . . . tell you what, just come on down and I'll spring for a beer or two at the 35'er, Barney's, Burger Continental or wherever else your Pasadena roots demand.

And if if the Johnnies defeat the 'Rats, I'll become a St. Johns fan for a week or two as well.

cheers and happy turkey day,

tooth

BTW, tooth, it would have to be Burger Continental.  I remember taking my parents there - just another time my father thought he was in a foreign country (the other time was when I took them to Trader Joe's!)

How do you guys like Jason Lehman for the future?  He was a good option qb up here in the same conference as my son's school.  Very good runner - he should make a fine running back or receiver.

Greetings, all, as I get up on this Thanksgiving morning.  It's a Johnny reunion Down Under this Turkey Day as the new guy in the Melbourne office I mentioned a couple days ago is bringing his lovely girlfriend (as I've been reliably informed and am sure is true) over for an evening of good ol' American turkey, pumpkin pie and cranberry sauce.  Verily, it does not taste like Thanksgiving without the bitter-sweet tang of canned cranberries in that red cranberry jelly.

One variation on the traditional turkey preparation that has been possible due to the lovely Aussie weather this time of year:  turkey on the Webber.  If have not tried it, I suggest you give it a go this summer.  Pop the whole bird on (roasting configuration with the charcoal, of course) and let it cook for about an hour and forty five minutes.  The juiciest, tastiest bird I have ever had.  (BTW - that sentence in Oz would go over poorly.  Bird would be interpreted as slang for a Sheila.  Slang for a woman).

And with that, I wish you all well.

Interesting that Whitworth beat Willamette only 28-14 this year, the same team that the "high powered" Gustavus offense demolished 35-7 the first game of the year. Might be a good indicator of the relative strength of the conferences this year.
I predict that the SJU fans will be in good mood for the post game shopping trip.  :)

Well, Duff is heading off for Thanksgiving soon.  I'll be back Saturday.  Have a great Thanksgiving, everyone!

A woman is in bed with her lover who happens to be her husband's best friend.
They make love for hours, and afterwards, while they're just laying there, the phone rings.
Since it is the woman's house, she picks up the receiver. Her lover looks at her and listens, only hearing her side of the conversation...
(She is speaking in a cheery voice)
"Hello? Oh, hi. I'm so glad that you called. Really? That's wonderful. I am so happy for you. That sounds terrific. Great! Thanks. Okay. Bye."
She hangs up the telephone, and her lover asks, "Who was that?"
"Oh," she replies," that was my husband telling me all about the wonderful time he's having with you on his fishing trip."

That was a chuckle out loud moment.  Good one.
