Freebird, glad you enjoyed Notre Dame. It is an awesome place for college football. I took my son there in `96 to see the Irish play Ohio State. Both teams were ranked in the top five at the time. There were 100,000 people on campus prior to the game when the stadium only held 60,000. Did you make it to the College Football Hall of Fame in downtown South Bend?

Duffman, classic story about our friends at Tommieland. I hate to admit it, but my sister and sister-in-law are Tommies. We still allow them into the house, as long as they genuflect when they walk in.

I will wish the Cobbers good luck in the playoffs.  I also hope they play the Concordia/SJU playoff game in the Metrodome.

First off, while it seems very likely that CC will get a bid, you'd better wish them luck getting into the play-offs first because that is anything but a given right now.  And second of all, why would you wish a game to be in that God-foresaken Metrodome?  It's a terrible venue for small-college football.  7,000 people can barely be seen in that place.  With the turf at SJU, there is no way that possible match-up would be moved to the 'dome.

Total agreeance with Duffman, the Metrodome would be one of the last places I would want to see a D3 playoff game.

When I was a Jr we played PLU in the Fargodome, and that even sucked.  The Metrodome would be much worse.

Duff,
I believe it was your sophomore year that we played at the dome on "MIAC weekend"

Horrible place to watch D3 football. SJU had probably 7000+ there and we couldn't hear anything from the other side. I'd rather watch D3 football on TV than in the dome.
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Would Concordia have any shot at hosting a first-round game?
Not to sound like a smart a$$, but yes they could as long as the NCAA seeds them 1-4 in the West Region. With 1 week to go,any number of things could occur.
Yes - that much I understand  :) My question was more along the lines of the chances that the NCAA would actually seed them that high - most of you follow this with much more interest and intensity than I do and you seem to have a good grasp on the playoff format.

Does that mean seeds 5-8 wouldn't host?  ;)

Maroon&Gold - have you received tape on Steph-Arg?

If so - how do they look?

Pick'em has been updated; also, West region playoff seedings contest announced on the Pick'em page.  Try your hand there to pick who goes where.

TC Chapter is helping with the Stiftingfestivities this week-- the rat pack will be there, as will balloons for the kids.  As JR said, 10am, Tommies parking lot at Summit and Cretin!
