56321- Because we have Gagliardi, and the Tommies don't. (only 8 words) 8)

Retired Old Rat

Where are the Tommies?  It is no fun to trash talk if no one talks back.

I am tempted to set up another account under my alter ego, Günther Bermuda,
and talk trash from a Tommie persepctive.  In the third person, of course.

Günther Bermuda is just  trying to be the best Tommie Günther Bermuda can be.

Too much BUS. Can someone tell me in ten words or less why I shouldn't be worried about the game weekend against UST?

DUMO, Kofoed, German, Weber, Good, Hawn, Lofboom, Royce-Diop (only counts as 1 word) Wagner, Macnamara

If I'm allowed 11 words, I'd throw in a guy named Gagliardi.

Not a big believer in trash talking, sorry, so I don't have much to offer on that front, especially since I don't have the disdain for SJU like some so can't be as "clever" with the retorts.  Nor do I care to be, not my style.  But you guys keep bringing it since I do enjoy reading it.

Maybe the lack of UST posters is a sign of the apathy some have towards the program?  You would think the johns game would bring them out, but evidently not.  Like I said earlier, it is easy to be boastful when your team is damn good.

Hope for a good game without any injuries especially since sju has more games to play.  Wouldn't wish on others what I wouldn't want to have happen to UST if the roles were reversed.

Will Gags/sju run trick plays again when up 21-0 like last year late in the game, and threaten the health of his QB by sending him out for a pass?  I do wish the UST CB would have hit him on that play, since the QB was in bounds along the sideline and the pass was over thrown, if I recall correctly.  I can only imagine the outcry that would have caused amongst you all.

Wish my son was part of this again, maybe next year.

Welcome back to the board Dr. Jekyll... or should I call you Mr. Hyde?

I have to admit the SJU/CST rivalry was more fun years ago when Tommies gave a rip. They used to have a lot in common with us, now I see CST becoming a lot like Macalaster. Maybe it has something to do with the water that trickles down Summit Avenue.

Knights, yes, I remember that play and the discussion after on this board.  I agree with you.  He was fair game.  Wierd call.

KR-

I don't want to even try to explain my point since we have been down that road before, and all I wind up doing is defending myself against 20+ people.
Good luck to your johns and if they win I just hope they show some respect to the guys on the other sidelines trying their best, and don't look to embarrass them with gadget plays when the game is no longer in doubt.  Maybe when you have a kid playing (or in this case on the team) you might feel differently, maybe not.

Thanks for getting my point.  Why risk injury to any kid, especially your QB when you don't have to.

Since this year sju has more games to play do you think Gags will sub a bit earlier to avoid risk of injury to key guys?  You would think so, especially if the game gets as one-sided as most think it will, or does he run it up since it is ust and that is what most sju backer want?

Fins,

Sorry it isn't as much fun for you as in year's past, but winning should never be bad so be glad your team has such a winning tradition and enjoy the ride.  Don't get me wrong,  I do care, and would love to see UST upset sju but it isn't the end-all that some make it out to be, which is fine.  Win or lose, its just a game.

I think it depends a lot on what UST does with its personell.

I don't  really care what the score is.  Just want to win, stay undefeated, nobody gets hurt, get the highest seed possible in the playoffs.

Johnnie Red,

Since I believe you are the generous one to supply the burgers at the pregame festivities and general organizer, and you made me feel very welcomed last year in C'ville, I would like to extend to you a pass for admission to the game if you'd like.  I think I will only use one of my passes since only one of my kids is coming at this point, but I will confirm later this week so check the board.  Its not much, just a show of thanks for your hospitality.
