KR,

Have you cured any diseases with that medical book yet?

Seedy bars in Des Moines? The all american city?

Say it ain't so, say it ain't so.

I am still drinking away the pain from the Jan 8 debacle. I haven't seen a game that bad since ah, ah, ah, ah, back in '03 before the big flood I recon'.
A flood o'points put on by the red wave.

I did tell a kid today with a hydrocele (excess fluid in the scrotum) that a book I once read said that the cause of this was too much masturbation. Haven't seen a 14year old blush that much since TDT's date senior year learned his real age. HEY-O!!!!!!!!

Seedy bars in Des Moines? It's harder to find bars that aren't seedy to some degree, depending of course on your definition of seedy.

RE:2003
I don't know if you can call a 150lb sophmore RB a red wave, but he did flatten your DB :)  *

* I know, I know "Stop living in the past KR." But for has-beens/never-weres like me, the past is all there is sometimes  :-\
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

Raiderguy,

I know this is a football board, and not a baseball board, but this is too good.

QuoteMatthew LeCroy has signed a minor league deal with the club and has been invited to spring training. LeCroy, 31, batted .239 with two homers and nine RBI in 39 games with Washington last year after spending the six previous seasons with the Twins. He'll make $500,000 if he makes the team.

You've got to be kidding me.

This all started when the Giants paid Rennie Stennett 600K; all downhill from there.  The key words in the above, however, are "if he makes the team."

Hey, I tried making my kids eat with their left hand.  They just wouldn't do it.

Willy Wonka

Gustie Weekend Update, with Willy Wonka

Frank Rickard has been unemployed since the Bethel upset (Note: The playoff loss is not considered an upset for these posting purposes). He's moved back to Mankato, where he spends all his free time playing Madden and with his junk, for which I am eternally jealous (Note: That doesn't read exactly how I want it to, but my backspace is broken). He's also been spending the last few weeks at the recently-unemployed Mongo's pad; together, they are doing their best to keep the St. Peter bars in the black and making Gustie moms nervous everywhere.

Mongo apparently has two job offers on the table (Note: Serving as a bouncer for Mettlers is, sadly, not one of them) after looking for less than two weeks, while Frank has decided to put aside such silly concerns as working/making money/having a life in order to drink himself stupid(er) on a daily basis and live off his mom well into his 30s. It's currently been 3 months for the 26-year-old and he's yet to even crack the paper to see what's available.

In the immortal words of ESPN: The Ocho announcer Pepper Brooks, "It's a bold move Cotton. Let's see if it pays off!"
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

ATTENTION BlueDevilBob: Tomorrow night would be a terrific opportunity to make a road trip to Cville.  Great chance to experience the rivalry of the Toms/Johnnies and maybe bring Coach Todd along to help raise his spirits.  I am sure Fins will introduce you to all of our cronies at the La Playette.

Your President and MIAC Travel Agent

TDT - thanks but tomorrow night will be the first night in 6 days that I won't be in a hockey rink somewhere.

I'm looking forward to spending some time with my 6 year old daughter for a change. Otherwise a the trip to the La Playette with fins and cronies would be well worth it.  8)

Here I am quoting myself.

Turns out my wife has a school meeting to attend tonight.

After 6 straight nights of being in area hockey rinks, my darling 6 year old blonde daughter informs me that tonight.....

She wants me and son of BDB to take her skating at the hockey rink.  :D

So, to Open Skate we go.  ;D

sumander

BDB,

Don't  know if you read the STRIB or not, but there was a blurb on the Blue Devils hockey team this morning.

Midnight sniper was out again last night I see!
I fly any cargo that you can pay to run
The bush league pilots, they just can't get the job done
You've got to fly down the canyon, don't never see the sun
There's no such thing as an easy run

Good morning class!
Does everyone remember what day it is today?
That's right, today's the day the Johnnies take sole possession of 1st place in MIAC hoops after drubbing the Tommies on the home court.
To celebrate the victory, tomorrow we will have all day recess. Now all please rise as we sing the fight song...

sumander, yeah the hockey Devils are hot. I don't have time to read the Strib so thanks for the link.

When will Grandpa Sports ever retire so Wonka can move into that job?  ;)

ROR

It is still the present until someone comes and takes the crown away. Know anyone capable of doing that in 2007? ;D
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

raiderguy

ROR,

Sorry  I ment to ask if you are joining the band wagon conference tonight in C'ville?
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

Buckman

Well, I finally received my boarding pass for the wagon ride tonight.  I was getting a little worried as it was cutting it pretty close.  Guess I'll see you at LaStation later.

To avoid the "You didn't ask me to go" comment from GF, I have made it a practice to ask GF to go along to all football, BB, hunting, fishing, etc. activities, knowing full well that the answer will undoubtedly be "No", yet I've strategically built in the defense in advance. I'm a sly one, aren't I?
Imagine my surprise when GF tells me she might want to tag along on the Bandwagon ride tonight. I can only surmise that it has something to do with my irresistable charm which has led her to suddenly decide that she will accompany me. Either that, or she's been reading the sports page in heated anticipation for this night, waiting, just waiting, for me to pop the question.

Well, looks like I'll have a driver if I need one. 8)
