I fly any cargo that you can pay to run
The bush league pilots, they just can't get the job done
You've got to fly down the canyon, don't never see the sun
There's no such thing as an easy run

That's a big damn fish Duff.

Did you lick him to see how he tasted?  ;D

I'm alive.  Woke up with it in my hand.  Ho hum ho hum.

Ritzy: TDT will be in the Twin Cities in a few weeks.  How does the White Sox series or the Angels series sound?  Some Stiffy burgers sound top notch.  Whaddya say Mr. Godfather??

TDT, you should come up for the Nationals  :P series and then you can go to Aquafest with fins and me.

great fish. i'm thinking Rainy too, probably closer to IFalls than Baudette . . .

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Lake of the Woods was still frozen.  We were on the Rainy River near Baudette.

Ah, Monday.  Duff is back with fish pictures, TDT is over making more friends on the NW Conference board, and the SCIAC board is discussing the rumor that Redlands has scheduled a game with Haskell Indian Nations University (nickname: Indians, of course) in week 2 (according to the Massey Ratings, the 4th lowest rated team in the NAIA).  It can't get much better than this.  ;)

Nice fish Duff.... Will have a chance to venture near SJU this summer. (It has been awhile since I have been in the area). I may take the family by the campus to show them where the book they bought me a few xmas ago originated.......My venture near SJU is on our way to Cass Lake. (Have never been there, was looking for a resort to go to this summer & my wife & one of my sons found this on the internet - said it looked & felt right). Any info or advise on the area would be appreciated.....On a football note, construction is coming along on the Wart Wellness center, so maybe this year the teams will be able to dress & meet in locker rooms, rather than on busses & in houses!!

Kind of like the Johnnies playing Northwesten......  I found it a bit odd that the roster for HINU had like 50 players, 40+ of whom are Frshman....

tmerton, the game between Redlands and Haskell Indian Nations University brought to mind the article in Sports Illustrated this past week on Jim Thorpe and the Carlisle Indian Industrial School team coached by Pop Warner. Excellent article. Talked about their national championship in 1912. If my memory serves me correctly, I think it was around this time that a school in Arden Hills by the name of Bethel Home School for Bible Studies and Cosmetology was started. ;)

:D

I think Stevens Point played Haskell a couple years ago.  ???

I know the Blue Devils had some common opponent with them.

EDIT: That's 2 football related posts by BDB in a week!  ;D

Retired Old Rat

After a self imposed 2 month hiatus from Post Patterns I am back.  I started a new job a couple months
ago and have been busier than a one armed paper hanger.

I hope I didn't miss anything too important.

Happy Birthday Mr. President.

I would be most interested in a Dome  Stiftungsfestivities  event.

Anyone interested in going in on a suite?
